We rescued Sasha from our local humane society nearly two years ago. Since then she has become best friends with our toddler Ezra. The pair plays together and inseparable. Sasha plays daily with Ezra. She also has daily cuddle sessions with Justin. We take her as a family to the local parks and hiking frequently. She's truly part of our family and we can't imagine a day without her. Sasha's very kind and loving. She is so patient and kind with Ezra and the pair have become best friends. Her sweat personality wins over everyone that meets her. She is an instant lap dog for most visitors in our home. Sasha ingested something plastic, one of Ezras toys the other night under the supervision of a babysitter. She has been vomiting and becoming more ill so we took her to Apex Animal Hosptial today to see Dr Thomi. Radiology indicates she has a blockage and the total estimate is going to be around $2500. We have had a very financially challenging year. We are also welcoming our second son in November and I will be taking time off work to care for him. Between the financial hardships we have, my reduced hours at work, and future maternity leave, $2500 feels impossible.

My teenagers saved all their summer money they earned to get Bear. She is a delight & pure joy to our family. Bear is 18 months old & normally very active. She loves her buddy Saki the pug, her sister. Bear has been a very active young pup and teenager and up until recently has loved being outside and playing with her family. She is a loving addition to our family. Bear is a big baby who looks so regal & defined. She constantly wants our attention & her adorable move she makes is to put her paw on our lap or our hand as if to say hello. She will try and hug us with her paws & you can see her smile at us. She is our gentle giant & love. I often think she could be a service dog with her temperament. So gentle & yet so smart & strong! Bear is so special as everyone just gravitates towards her. She loves her doggie sister, Saki and her family so....She uses her paws as hands and constantly is touching us with her front paws to say hello. If she wants to talk, it is as if we have Chewbacca in the house because she will make those wookie noises you might be familiar with from Star Wars. She does the best impersonation. Bear had a limp for a couple of weeks & seemed to be getting better, we weren't sure what had happened but scheduled an appt. After sedation, x-rays, full exam & pain meds it was determined she has blown out both her hind leg ACL's! Shock...Dr. Thomi gave us the paperwork & said the left leg would be done first & then 8 weeks later the other leg. The clinic's name is Apex Animal Hospital. We down-sized our business after Covid-19 and do not have $7700.00 for this surgery on both her ACL's. WE will do whatever it takes to makes this happen but any help would be so appreciated.
