Henry

Henry is a 10 year old American Shorthair in Columbia Heights, MN, who needs $350 for Exam, Blood Work and Meds.

Columbia Heights, MN

I adopted Henry along with his brother Simba in June 2015 when they were just 3 months old. We lost Simba to stomach cancer this past October and Henry has been taking it rough. We moved into my partners inherited home after his dad passed April 2024 that unfortunately came with a lot of utility and property tax debt we have to get caught up on. We had a baby Jan 2025 and Henry is a great big bro! About a week ago I noticed Henry acting weird. His nose was starting to scab over and he was drooling, he wasn’t eating or drinking water. He is now drinking, but still not wanting to eat. I cannot afford to get him in to find out what is wrong, but I am worried about him and if he is at a point of no return already from lack of nutrition. Henry is my best friend. He has been by my side since the night we brought him home. He is my cuddle bug and my shoulder kitty! He is a lazy, chunky boy, but he loves to play especially chasing after a laser, and any chance to snuggle he takes. We thought having a baby would make him jealous or anxious, but he has taken to her exceptionally well and they love each other. Due to postpartum mental health issues, I have only returned to work part time and only in the last 4 months. I am on the MFIP program and my husband is a SSDI recipient. We just don’t have any disposable income and getting Henry to health would mean the world to me!

Diana

Diana is a 2-year-old Mixed Breed Dog in Minneapolis, MN, who needs $1,800 for Skin Treatments.

Minneapolis, MN

On top of this physical misery, kids were throwing rocks at her and poking her sticks. She was in pain and her spirit was crushed and, as the kids danced around her shouting, Diana just quit. She was resigned to the sad death that seemed inevitable. Those terrible, shouting children drew rescuer Nirva's eye. Nirva got of out the car, shouting herself, and left that dirty lot with Diana. Diana now lives in Minnesota and is learning how good a dog’s life can be. Her people love helping animals (that is how they met after all) and Diana is the resident dog who helps lots of foster dogs get ready for their next forever homes. She has never met a dog she didn’t like. She plays rough with the big dogs and gives the timid dogs their space until they’re ready. Diana is a huge goofball! She walks with a waddle and makes lots of grunty noises while rolling around on the ground or getting picked up. She builds herself a blanket nest whenever she’s getting cozy. Diana jumps off the couch or porch like she’s flying when wrestling with her furry friends. She’s such a silly girl despite the immense pain. Diana was found with severe mange. She has been treated for parasites & given medicated baths for over a year and made significant improvements, but then began regressing. The mange has long gone, but the pain remains. The vets believe the mange may have kicked off a metabolic or thyroid disease. She is taking expensive antibiotics and allergy medications. I simply do not have the emergency pet funds to cover all of the lab work Diana will need to figure out the root cause of her condition. Getting Diana healthy means I will have more capacity to help other dogs find their forever homes. I pray for the day Diana is well!
