Toby came into my life when kids and I had moved back to Ohio from Utah (moved out there to get out of an abusive relationship). He and his sister came unexpected although my son was wanting an emotional support cat and the neighbor that we had was ill and needing to rehome 2 cats. He currently is my emotional support as well as my son's and we don't want to lose another 4 legged friend this year. In March Toby had developed a throat abscess. Took him to vet. $320 later and not better. I have been able to keep it from getting bigger while I was trying to get the $ up to get it removed however recently it has gotten bigger and is starting to effect him more and I am still unable to afford the vet bill right now. We found a cheaper vet for him at Ark Vet Hospital that can get him ASAP. He is very special to us all as he has been our support helping us from losing our dog and many other reasons, of course. He was abused when he was a kitten (blind in one eye and broken teeth (abscess not tooth related) but that doesn't stop him from living life, being spoiled, loved and having a huge personality. He makes sure we feel safe, calm, and not judged when we are sad. He is very loving. Our 12 yr old dog got severely ill and we had to put her down a few days after Toby vet appt. That expense set us back $800 due to needing a vet come in to the home. Other burdens pop up back to back and I can't get ahead. We can't bare to lose him. He is keeping us sane.

Sugar was placed with us to comfort us from the loss of another fur member of our family. We live in a home filled with love and hope as we struggle through the situations we have found ourselves in. Sugar has three other fur friends that she always steps aside for to allow them the limelight and quietly waits to be noticed, She is a gentle spirit indeed. I am seeking help to have surgery done to repair not one but two hernias that are life threatening to Sugar and cause her pain. In the last days of my mother's life, the gentle licking kisses of Sugar is the only thing that would make her respond and open her beautiful blue eyes. She comforted her human dad as he battled cancer till the end. Sugar has been a comfort to everyone The unsafe conditions that my grandson was living in presented a situation for him to have to be placed in my care. As we strive to make a life together work had to be put on the back burner and has put us in a financial crises. I had to put Trenton's needs first.
