Benny

Benny is a 1-year-old Chihuahua in West Lafayette, IN, who needs $120 for Heartworm Prevention, Distemper and Rabies Vaccines.

West Lafayette, IN

I found Benny before he was even born. Mt sister paid for him and we drove 4 hours round trip to get hill when he was only 6 weeks old. I knew the second that I saw him that he was mine Benny goes everywhere with me. At night he sleep in a large padded carrying cage with two little rag (dogs) babies. He will not sleep without them lol In the morning after he has slept ALL NIGHT he will get up and he has to have his babies to play with all day. Benny gets zipped in his bed around 10 pm ( he wants to go to bed lol ) and I cover him up and tell him Sweet dreams As stated above, Benny has two rag babies that he HAS to have to sleep with and HAS to have to play with the next day. Benny lives to be cuddled and put to sleep in my hands prior to going to bed each night I am only trying to get help to pay to keep Benny healthy with his reg vaccinations and heart worm medication so that he does not get sick. He is very healthy now and I want to keep him thy way so that he lives a long time to let me spoil him. I have a tumor that causes me to have high blood pressures. Benny has helped my blood pressure since he came to live with me. I am on disability due to past spousal abuse and Benny is my emotional support pet. He is my best friend. I need help paying for his shots to make sure he stays healthy for me to keep forever

Nala

Nala is a 2-year-old Cane Corso in Lafayette, IN, who needs $1,845 for Heartworm Disease Treatment.

Lafayette, IN

July 12th I drove not quite 100 miles to rescue a malnourished Cane Corso who had just given birth to a litter of pups end of April. Her owners reported her and their male as lost and when she was found they refused to take her and threatened to shoot her. Unfortunately the finder couldn't keep her and the shelter in the area would euthanise in 3 short days. Nala has blended into our family well in such a short time. She is a gentle giant and ever so cautious when playing with our kids ensuring not to bulldoze them over like our other Cane does. She has become a snuggle buddy with our children at bedtime. Nala has a dopey face riddled with drool, our children refer to it as "squishy face". She loves to play fetch and does the cutest pounce on the ball like a cat. Although due to heartworm she tires easily. She loves to rub her face all over you and if you stop petting her and she isn't wanting you to stop she will paw at you like a cat and huff until you pet her again. We immediately got Nala vetted with Dr. Wittke at Battle Ground Veterinary Clinic, PCthe day after getting her. We received the results that Nala was Heartworm positive, which certainly explains some of her malnourishment. We are a working class family, going paycheck to paycheck with a high amount of student loans & medical debt ensuring we do not miss any payments. During this time we had an emergency vetting for our cat with a broken leg that will need amputated, adding even more costs.
