I rescued Goose in October. He was abandoned on the street by his previous "family" and was in such a horrible state that he could barely walk when he came to me. He was so malnourished my thumb and finger could've wrapped around his spine. I can't fathom why he was dumped - he's the sweetest, most loving boy imaginable - but he now has a safe home. His recovery has been long, but he is a fighter! Because of advanced periodontal disease and fractured teeth, Goose struggles to eat and is in chronic pain. Multiple extractions are necessary to relieve his pain and remove the risk of the infection worsening to the point he can't eat at all. This surgery is the last step in his healing process to living pain-free - he can't fully heal otherwise. He's come so far, but he needs extra help now. I lost my soul kitty very unexpectedly a few months before Goose arrived. I never thought I'd recover, let alone be so lucky to find another soul baby to give my days meaning and pure joy. He curls up on my lap for every meal, lays on my chest or against my bad knee every night to fall asleep, and loves to chat about Important Things! He goes crazy for old receipts and cuddle time. He is my world. Due to my own disabilities I can't work more than limited hours and barely make ends meet. I've been saving every cent I can, but it's not enough. Goose saved me far more than I did him, and it's been killing me to see him in pain and be unable to help him recover with this.
