Gunner came into our lives through a rescue organization called Circle 2 Rescue. We had rescued our first dog, Nala, through this organization. Gunner's story pulled at our heart strings. His previous owners had broken his front paw when he was 3 months old. We knew that we wanted to be the ones to give him the life that he deserved. Gunner has always been a very active dog who LOVES walks. We noticed a limp and he had partially torn ACLs in both legs, the right being worse than the left. In the summer of 2025, he had surgery to repair his right ACL at Billings Animal Family Hospital. He has recently started to limp on his left leg, indicating that he is needing surgery on this leg. Gunner is such a special dog. He absolutely loves his sister dog, Nala. They are inseparable. We recently had a baby boy and Gunner is VERY protective of him. Gunner is such an active dog, so to see him become so limited with activities is heartbreaking. He is still trying to go a thousand miles and hour. He is so happy and has so much life to live. My husband I were diagnosed with unexplained infertility. We tried for 5 years to have a child. We went through two IVF cycles and in October of 2025 had our first child. In the summer of 2025, Gunner had his first ACL surgery. We just want our dog to feel better.
