Freya

Freya is a 10 month old Papillon in Port Angeles, WA, who needs $1,000 for Weekly Splint Changes with Sedation.

Port Angeles, WA

Freya was born & raised here in our home. We have been trying to provide her the absolutely best chance at a full recovery! Freya is currently under the care of WSU orthopedic specialist. This is a 9hr drive one way, and we go every 4wks for evaluation/ xray care. Our local vet, Blue Mountain Animal Clinic has been helping with weekly wrap changes. Our little princess has quite the caring team! In December of 2024 Freya fractured her left radius and ulna during a freak slip.Due to limited local specialists, unavailability due to the holiday, finances, and weather, we didn't have many options for her immediate care. We have had a few rough moments along the way. We have recently received a second opinion and now under the care of WSU Veterinary hospital sports & ortho rehab care team. Freya is pure joy & love to my family. She is incredibly sweet, spicy, & an amazing butterfly girl. Despite her difficult injury & journey at such a young age, she doesn't let it get the best of her. She is every bit an energetic crazy puppy. She has recently shown interest in scent training, giving alerts to my blood sugar levels over 165 and under 75 with amazing consistency. Previous medical expenses over 20k, driving over 100 miles each week for post surgical care, additional care items at home, time lost from work. All have created a huge financial strain on our family. We are trying our very best to give Freya a future and save her leg!

Mögi

Mögi is a 6 month old Alaskan Malamute in Port Townsend, WA, who needs $2,000 for Right Forelimb Amputation.

Port Townsend, WA

Mögi is a 6 month old MalamutexGSD I adopted 3 months ago, who also happens to be a special needs dog. He was born with a congenital defect that has left his front right leg greatly deformed. When asked, I was told by the local HS that Mögi would likely be better off without amputation so long as his deformity didn't hinder his ability to enjoy life. Unfortunately the situation has changed. Despite his congenital defect, Mögi is in perfect health. The other day while I was making dinner I heard Mögi scream in agony. I ran to him and immediately examined him for injuries and found he was sensitive with his deformed leg. It appears he injured himself while chasing a tennis ball. The next morning we went to the vet for X-rays and that's when it was discovered he had broken his leg. Mögi is a blessing and such a light in the lives of my family. I suffer from rheumatoid arthritis as well as a congenital abnormality known as Ehlers Danlos, so when I saw him at the H Society I was immediately drawn to him. Ultimately, it was my 8yo daughter who chose him and it's been clear ever since that he was meant to be a special part of our lives. He's a puppy but is also such a gentleman. I am a single mother of 2 struggling financially due to my own medical expenses. This winter has been particularly rough and my savings are depleted. Mögi needs an amputation to save his life. With that would come many years of joyous adventures and memories for our family

Brody Rose

Brody Rose is a 6 year old Boston Terrier in Port Angeles, WA, who needs $2,000 for Cystotomy.

Port Angeles, WA

Brody Rose came into our lives shortly after my Boston Terrier of 15 years had to be put to sleep. She was like an angel sent from Heaven, to help me go on with a broken heart. She was a rescue and was used as a breeder and kept in a barn her whole 4 years of life. A C-Section made her original owners give her up, as she could no longer produce puppies for them. She is an angel. Brody Rose has a Urinary Tract Infection and a bunch of stones in her bladder that she cannot pass because of their size. Therefore, she needs surgery to remove them ASAP. This is critical. The name of her vet is Blue Mountain Veterinary Hospital.in Sequim. Brody Rose has been lost in the mountains when camping with us before! She survived 9 days and nights in the outback wilderness of Lakeview Oregon. She was found by a hunter who chased her down. Lucky we put up many flyers in town and at the campsite so people could.contact us if they spotted her. We couldn't believe she was found unharmed, a little skinnier with just some tree sap on her belly. I am sitting here crying as I write this. If she doesn't get this surgery she will die. We cannot be without this strong, beautiful angel. PLEASE help us if you can.
