This big goofball was boarding at the facility I worked at through a rescue in the area and both his story and his personality really spoke to me. Before I met him, he had been through four different homes in his short life. He had been found and rescued from a hoarding situation as a puppy and then moved from home to home that just weren't right for him. Pipsqueak lives for relaxing on the couch or bed with his people (and definitely all the treats he gets too). He's such a goofball with a huge heart and an awesome personality. He loves our two cats more than they love him, but we've caught them all together more than once. As my service dog, he spends most of his time attached to my hip and I wouldn't have it any other way. He is truly a big dog that doesn't know his own size. He loves to try to lay on top of me (lovingly crushing me) or get as close to me as possible. Most of the time he's sliding all over the place or nearly falling over as he is not very coordinated. Begging for treats is his next favorite past time and he makes some really compelling arguments. He is the light of my life. What they believed to be a linear foreign body wasn't there so they pexied him and sent us home. Due to a bacterial infection, the sutures kept breaking down and he had to have 3 total surgeries over the course of seven days with expensive specialty antibiotics on top. Boyd Lake Veterinary Center and Dr. Kay has been very accommodating to our situation, but still needs payment for the procedures. We were hit hard by COVID. My husband was unable to find a job for most of the pandemic on top of my own medical emergencies. Pipsqueak helps me everyday with my disability as my service dog and if we're not able to pay for this he will have to go back to the rescue.
