Archie
Archie is a 3-year-old Domestic Shorthair Tabby Cat in Bend, OR, who needs $2,000 for Perineal Urethrostomy.
Bend, OR
I fell in love with Archie as a kitten immediately upon meeting him. I met him as a feral kitty in a clinic in a room full of kittens and as a college student, did not plan on adopting. But I knew he was my soulmate as soon as he stepped on my lap. Archie was there for me throughout college, throughout the quarantine, and throughout my toughest times. Now we've moved the adventure to Oregon! Archie has always been my best friend since I got him. He is the biggest lover to everyone who comes over and loves to be a part of the conversation. He is a registered ESA and he wears that badge proudly by always greeting us home and coming to my aid when I'm down. I am Archie's person and I miss hearing him follow me around the house. My cat makes me smile he reaches up and asks me for forehead kisses. I also love the way he gets jealous anytime I give anyone else attention like my partner and that he loves to slow dance with me. My cat is also well trained, he does tricks for treats like lay down and roll over and he lets me trim his claws. Archie has been in the hospital for several days with repeated urinary blockage and is unable to pee and is in excruciating pain. The animal hospital has been extremely helpful in keeping him stable and comfy but his case developed complications. There is fluid leaking into his abdomen and a tear somewhere they're unsure of. Due to a recurring urinary issue he needs a PU surgery to be ok This emergency bill came very unexpected and with terrible timing after just moving and my partner being out of work for injury. I've already paid over $2000 in current vet bills to keep him stable but he needs this surgery to keep him alive and bring him home healthy

Jordan
Jordan is a 3-year-old Boxer in Providence, UT, who needs $1,500 for surgery and dental extraction.
Providence, UT
I have had Jordan since she was 8 weeks old and she is now 3 years old. Time has flown by and she's been with me ever since graduate school. She has moved with me from Oregon to Utah and now we've been spending a lot of time with her grandma and grandpa in Oregon since COVID happened. Her favorite thing is to be with her people. Jordan is a girl that loves to keep herself busy. She has a basket full of toys and everyday, without fail, she will take each and every toy out of the basket to play with. Her favorite thing to do is run around her people showing off her toys. She has that boxer butt wiggle when she gets attention from her people. Jordan has gone through a few different medical procedures, one of which I am still paying off and, with the cost of this one, I am struggling to afford it. She needs to have it done and it isn't an elective procedure and I need help. Recently, Jordan's breath has been pretty bad and I took her to Brookswood Animal Clinic in Bend to get it looked at. I thought maybe it was coming from her top two teeth, which could be a source, but she has a big mass around one of her back molars that I did not know about. The vet has quoted the procedure pretty high but, in cost comparison, it seems like other prices are similar. Jordan is the sweetest and most protective dog to her people. Though she's considered a big dog, she loves to cuddle, sit on laps, and give big kisses. Without fail, she brightens my day with her kindness. When she gets excited, her entire body wiggles and it is the cutest thing that always makes me smile.

Taffy Lynn Jackson
Taffy Lynn Jackson is a 12-year-old Corgi in Bend, OR, who needs $1,100 for dental extractions.
Bend, OR
Taffy has been in our family since September 2008. She was a little over a year old when we adopted her, but we knew her as a puppy. Her family was elderly and experienced sudden loss and illness and could no longer care for her. Being long-time corgi owners, we welcomed Taffy into our home and began an adventure with one of the quirkiest corgis we've ever known! In addition to her penchant for sleeping in weird, contorted positions, she has been known to follow a food bowl into just about any corner of the galaxy, even if it required a bit of gymnastics! We have come to believe Taffy is part acrobat, part engineer, which has been endlessly entertaining, but has also led to her current need for care. We have often lamented how we need a "Go-Pro" on her when we are out of the house, so that we can witness the shenanigans first hand! Her name, Taffy Lynn, was not a name we gave her, but we kept it when we brought her home, because it suits her unique personality to a "T." Taffy is the homiest of home bodies we have ever met! She is the only dog we've known who will go for walks with the sole purpose of trying to get back home as soon as possible. One time, on a walk to the mailbox, she escaped her leash and ran straight back to the house and perched up on the door to look in the window. She seemed to beg, "Let me in!" Once inside, she hopped up back into her favorite Lazy Boy as if she was happy the ordeal was over! She loves cuddling, being cozy, and getting kisses on top of her head. She is one of the sweetest babies any dog lover could ever meet, and she means the world to us. We are desperate to get her the care she needs so that she will be with us as long as possible. She has made our lives happier, much more interesting and hilarious in ways we could never have imagined. She is an integral part of our family and she makes our hearts full.
