Chiquita

Chiquita came into my life 11 years ago. Her names means "little" in Spanish because she was the runt in a litter of five. I just lost her mom Raisen this past June. Her and her baby Lacey who is 5 years old now are all I have at home. They mean everything to me. She gives me a reason to live and keeps me company Chiquita always sleeps with me on my bed. She has to be right next to me or on my pillow! Occasionally she will even take naps on my belly haha She loves to chase things....strings and lasers are her favorite! She is very jealous and wants to have all of my attention. Whenever I have company over she looks forward to the extra attention Chiquita loves attention! She is always talking. She looks forward to her daily treats and wet food snacks. Chiquita lost part of her back leg at birth but she doesn't let it stop her from playing and getting around. It has been hard to see her sick, she mostly wants to sleep. I would like to see her get back to herself again Chiquita has developed a tumor on one of her mammary glands that is now protruding. She needs emergency surgery to have it removed. The vet is suggesting to remove the nipple beside it as well. They have quoted me at least $800, possibly more depending where she has it done. I am still looking in to what vet hospital would best. I recently lost Chiquita's mom back in June which has left me with a bill for $2,200. With the upcoming cold months coming I will need any extra money to buy heating oil for my house. I can't imagine losing another one of my babies. It would mean the world to me to save her

Salt came into my children and my life as a puppy from Paws animal shelter. I became disabled and she had saved my life as an owner. I knew she was sick because she was whimpering. She is beautiful and a blessing to my family. I found out on 04/27/2020 she has a mass in her bladder. She is in pain and must have surgery Salt has a sister we call Pepper. They are a dynamic duo. Salt usually runs, jumps, and is happy when she is well. She's the best and we need her to get well. Her sister Pepper has noticed the change in Salt. Salt is not able to be active live normal. She has a mass as large as a lemon. 2nd Street Animal Hospital in Philadelphia will be doing the surgery if we find the funds. The surgery is $2600, I was able to take half of my disability check to help pay for my baby's surgery. I'm on disability and not able to work. I will continue to pray for help until I receive every penny. Salt has a sister we call pepper. They are a dynamic duo. Salt usually runs, jumps, and is happy when she is well. Raisen was my first cat that I got from a coworker when I moved into my first apartment. She has been in my life for 10 years. I got her when she was just a kitten. She sleeps with me every night! I love her so much! She loves to chase strings and when she is happy, her purring sounds like a car starting!
