Lucky

Lucky is a 2-month-old Domestic Shorthair Cat in Jacksonville , NC, who needs $224 for Parasite Screening and Vaccination.

Jacksonville, NC

I found Lucky in my garden on memorial weekend all alone and scared he was only about 7 weeks old. I brought him in to bathe and feed him. He has a forever home. He has had diarrhea every day since though I tried changing his food to no avail. I need to get him checked out and vaccinated but don’t have the funds. I desperately need help. Lucky is very lovable. He loves playing hide and seek, peek a boo and he loves his cat tunnel. He loves belly rubs, and falls asleep in your arms. He follows me to bed and sleeps with me. He is a very fast learner, already knowing the word “no” as well as his name and the word “eat”. He enjoys watching the birds from the windows, he’s very intrigued. Lucky goes under the sofa and pops out in different places like the game whack a mole haha. He has a stuffed dog and duck that he wrestles with and will carry them around the house in his mouth even though they are the same size as him. He will also carry one stuffed animal over to the other one as if to have a gathering haha. Since I have had Lucky he hasn’t had a healthy bowel movement. He has had diarrhea every day since memorial weekend. Everything else is normal, no fever, he’s eating good, he’s drinking good but can’t stop the diarrhea. I plan to take him to Carolina Forest Animal Clinic to be tested for parasites and get vaccinated. The vet provided me a quote but unfortunately I cannot afford it at this time. I’m a disabled senior citizen and I already live on a fixed income but Lucky has become my companion and gives me a reason to smile every day. I want him to be healthy and happy, so we can continue to bring happiness to each other’s lives.

Taylor

Taylor is a 7-year-old Tabby Cat in Jacksonville , NC, who needs $285 for Medication and Lab Work.

Jacksonville, NC

My cat Taylor is a rescue. I found him and his sister 7 years ago on the side of the road when they were just 2 weeks old. They were both so sick I almost lost them. He was diagnosed with diabetes and IBS last year. With everything getting so expensive it’s been hard to pay for everything, especially with my income only coming from disability. Taylor is a very happy cat and is very close to his sister. Every night at bedtime he “tucks” me in. He waits until I’m in bed then jumps up to knead in my neck while purring. Then every morning I’m greeted by him sitting on the floor by my bed looking up waiting for me to get up and feed him. After he eats he runs over to his toy chest and waits to be brushed. We have a ritual haha Taylor likes to head bunt and will want me to sit in floor while he’s on ottoman, so we are eye level, and he will roll around in excitement head bunting me and then giving me love bites on my scalp haha he’s very rough but doesn’t mean to hurt me he doesn’t realize his own strength. He’s very submissive when getting examined and getting insulin injections though. Taylor started vomiting daily last year. I got an ultrasound and labs done. He was diagnosed with IBS and diabetes. His insulin, syringes, glucose strips and prednisone are expensive and now he needs labs done before the dr will order any more insulin because he has been on meds for a year. I take him to an animal clinic so the prices are as low as they can get them. I’m on disability and with the inflation on everything I just font have the money to cover the labs right now but I have no choice in order for him to have his insulin. I have to not pay a bill somewhere every month to cover his care
