Kibby
Kibby is a 3 year old Ragamuffin in Asheville, , who needs $600 for Therapeutic Diet For IBD.
Asheville
I met Kibby in January 2024. She came to me in a time where I was lost in a toxic relationship. Despite my struggles with mental health, she helped me take responsibility and step up in ways I hadn’t for myself. When that relationship ended, she became my one true confidante and best friend. Now, we live together in a house in West Asheville. I work 3 jobs and she loves to lounge in her hammock. My sweet baby was diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) three months ago. This has been a rough journey for us both. I’ve had to watch her endure a lot of pain, and though cats are good at hiding it, I could see her discomfort. With the help of Charlotte Street Animal Hospital, we have finally found something that helps, which is Hills Science Z/D Wet food. Kibby loves to play and I love to play with her! We play with her toy wand every day with interchangeable feathers, mice, birds, worms, etc. My friends call her Princess Kib because whenever I have had the means I have spoiled her! And she loves every second of it. She has become family to me and has made life significantly less lonely! I love her endlessly and would do anything for her. The prescription food Kibby needs is expensive ($100 for 24 5.5oz cans) and it has been hard for me to allocate the funds with my low paying jobs. I am only making ends meet. I’d like to raise enough money for the next six months while I look for new jobs with better wages.

Morgan
Morgan is a 6 year old Mix-Breed in Shelby, NC, who needs $2,000 for Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy.
Shelby, NC
In 2018, we discovered our sweet Morgan at a San Diego shelter, close to death after a tragic spaying procedure. Instantly drawn to her, my husband spared no expense to nurse her back to health. After two wonderful years in California, fate brought us together, leading to our move to North Carolina in 2020. Now, Morgan is an irreplaceable part of our family, filling our lives with love and joy, a Morgan has torn her ACL and is in significant pain, relying on pain medication to manage her discomfort. She is only able to walk on three legs and requires surgery to repair the torn ligament. Words can not even begin to express how special she is. When someone is sad, it's almost like she senses their pain and she comforts them immediately. Her joy and gentleness are the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. In 2022 she became registered as an emotional support animal for support with autism. Her spirit is so gentle and we are beyond blessed to be her parents. Our family has been overwhelmed by a series of unexpected and difficult events over the past two months. Hurricane Helene caused significant damage to our home and family, and shortly after, my father-in-law was diagnosed with prostate cancer and is undergoing treatment.

Lucy
Lucy is a 6 year old Tortie in Asheville, NC, who needs $1,600 for Surgery to remove Bladder Stones.
Asheville, NC
Lucy is my Emotional Support Animal or my Fur Baby. She loves to rub up against my feet when I'm in the Living room. When I got Lucy I was told she was over 6 weeks old. Litter boxed trained and ate on her own. She had to be bottle fed until one day she smelled some canned Salmon. She was hooked. Once she figured out what food was she grew quickly. She is 6 years old and weighs 11 pounds. Lucy is a true Tortie. She only allows us to Pet her on her terms. We dont get to love on her unless it is her idea. She sleeps in my bed next to my Pillow every night. If I get out of bed she follows me. When I'm upset she comforts me. Its like she knows shes needed in that moment. During the day she sleeps next to my Rescue Dog. They are sisters. If Lucy doesnt like you she will chase you around the house hissing until you leave. She has my grandkids terrified of her Because she chased the 11 year old right to the back door and when he went out she turned around and came back to the Livingroom. It was hillarious to us but he was afraid of her from that day on. She knows when people are good or not. In 2022 Lucy had Bladder stones. We didnt know it until after 3 Vet visits. They were not the kind that would disolve with medication. They had to be surgically removed. She has them again. And she needs surgery. My Vet is Open Door Veterinary Care in Asheville NC and they are so good with the animals they get in the floor with them so they fell comfortable. This Surgery cost around $1200 I am Physically & emotionally Disabled and live on SSI. I need Emotional Support Animals to help me in my day to day life. Lucy is unique because she is a Tortie. It took her a long time to become a loving Cat. I only recieve SSI and an entire months check is way below $1200
