Burrito

Burrito the paralyzed pup had an unexpected trip to the vet and needs your help.

Grandview, TN • Flying Pigs Sanctuary

Flying Pigs Sanctuary is caring for an incredible pup named Burrito. They refer to him as the paralyzed pup who refuses to let anything slow him down. He now proudly walks (or should we say _wobbles_!) on his own, but he had an unexpected trip to the vet recently. Like many "down dogs," Burrito will likely battle urinary tract infections throughout his life. Because these infections can become serious very quickly, they never take any chances. At the first sign of trouble, he was off to the veterinarian for treatment. Flying Pigs Sanctuary is asking for a little help covering the cost so Flying Pigs Sanctuary can continue saying "yes" whenever Burrito needs care. Every donation, no matter the size, helps keep this amazing boy healthy, happy, and wobbling his way through life. Thank you for loving Burrito as much as we all do.

Teensy

Teensy is a 9-year-old Chihuahua in Chattanooga, TN, who needs $950 for Annual Exam, Testing, Vaccines, Spay, and Dental Work.

Chattanooga, TN

Teensy was the puppy of one of house hold dogs who never got spayed. Her mom had many litters throughout her life before passing away. Teensy has had a couple of litters herself until the male in the house was finally neutered 5 yrs ago. Teensy is use to being around many indoor dogs but all have died except for her. Teensy has lived with a widow, Wemmer, that has had many indoor dogs she has cared for over the last couple of decades. Teensy's mom, Wemmer, developed dementia 3 years ago and has been in and out of the hospital the last couple of months. During this time, church members have been coming to Teensy's home and caring for her. Teensy has made such a impact on Wemmer, that even through her fight with dementia, she still brings up Teensy on routine basis. Wanting to know who is caring for her. Teensy has been in need of getting spayed and her vaccines update for a couple of years, but because of her owners condition, she could never get her into the veterinarian for such services. Teensy's owner is a senior widow with dementia and serious health issues. She cannot care for Teensy's medical health because of both physical AND financial reasons.

Boobs

Boobs is a 6-year-old Cat in Chattanooga, TN, who needs $300 for Simple Spay Procedure with Post Op Meds.

Chattanooga, TN

I had recently become widowed and was told, a pet would offer great comfort. Previously, thinking ownership would be a bother, I was offered a small, 6 week old, gray and white cat. Not sure if I could tolerate one, I consented. Boobs has been a most fluffy, gentle and graceful presence in my home. After COVID took my husband, it was difficult to enjoy my home. His absence was not expected and I was devastated. The house was so quiet and I didn't know how I would endure such grief. A fine friend and her children offered me a cat from a newly norn litter. I prepared for the worse but a very soft, sweet, animal awakened my very soul to "life" once again. Boobs is quite a unique animal because of her soft and friendly attitude. I think she has never met a stranger. As a matter of fact, she seems to fit my own character to a "t". With her cunning abilities and keen sense of awareness she nuzzles and always caresses me at the right time. Although we have only known one another briefly, I can sense an awareness of our mutual needs. I've been referred to our veterinarian by an organization called Widows Harvest. At this time, Boobs has no devastating health condition. She is approaching 6 months of age. I am told this would be the best time to have the spaying procedure. She is an indoor pet and shows interest in the outdoors daily. After Gary (spouse) died, I have consolidated and downsized every imaginable way possible. My income continues too be diminished by the rising costs of living. Adding cat food and kitty litter won't break the bank but this surgery might.
