Genossa
Genossa is a 11 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in Forbestown, CA, who needs $999 for Eye Enucleation.
Forbestown, CA
Genossa came into my life in a bittersweet way—he was left behind when his prior family moved. I gave him food, love and a home… I quickly realized I needed him more than he needed me. He has since spent the last decade + as my best friend & loyal shadow on our 5 acre property in the mountains. He shares our home with his 4 fur & 2 human siblings. Genossa sustained an eye injury in January that has been treated with antibiotics, multiple rx eye drops & pain meds but, the eye has become increasingly swollen & painful. He has lost vision in the eye & his doctor determined the eye needs to removed. The Eye Enucleation is to be done by Chico Pet Vet & is $2,000. I have exausted all resources to get the $990 I have. We need help getting the rest Genossa is the eldest in the pack & is so loved and is shown that love and adoration daily by his furry siblings and my children and I as well. I could write a book about how truly special he is and how much he means to me. He is my best friend & the best dog ever… I hate referring to him as a dog he is so much more than what some people would consider an animal. Again he is best friend. I have been struggling financially for sometime, the weight of all my responsibilities along with the soaring cost of absolutely everything & seemingly non stop unforeseen car problems & vet bills etc. I’ve found myself literally bankrupt & trying desperately to keep afloat.

Loki
Loki is a 6-year-old Mixed Breed Terrier in Chico, CA, who needs $1,270 for Diagnostic Testing (Blood and Xrays).
Chico, CA
I guess you could say he was a rescue in a since. His previous owner was in a tough spot and was unable to care for him, that's when we welcomed Mr. Loki into our family at just 3 months old. Prior to us getting loki he had gone through alot of trauma. Loki was dropped and landed on his face which caused damage to his eye socket, he also had mange. He was lucky to get us like we were him. Loki is an absolute blessing. He is so loved beyond words. He has a mom and dad that can't see life without him. He has grandparents that take him out for "loki" days. Last year we got loki a sister. Her name is echo and they adore eachother. He even tolerates the cats sharing his bed with him. He is a cuddle bug and spoiled rotten. He loves climbing under the covers and is always so happy. Loki is so unique. He is very vocal, and can say I love you. He knows multiple tricks & his favorite time of year is fall. He loves leaf piles and does flips for them when you toss them in the air. He minds extremely well, never has to be told twice. He is very spoiled and goes everywhere with us. When he gets excited he does a happy dance where his whole body wiggles like a fish out of water. Loki's health has always been good. A month & a half ago I noticed his breathing was noisier than usual. I took him to chico pet vet & they listened to his lungs (clear) its in his throat, sounds like he is breathing thru a straw. Blood work & xrays are needed but cant afford it. Heart worm is negative. The concern is possible trachea collapse. If caught early it's manageable that's if he gets help He needs blood work & xrays to start. I applied for care credit, was denied. Currently in medical assistant training & employed, only on call. I've applied for grants & funding but none is available. I am desperate. He is only 6. I hurts to watch him struggle for air. Please

Bumble
Bumble is an eight-week-old Domestic Shorthair kitten in Chico, CA, who needs $1,000 for urgent eye surgery.
Chico, CA • Wags and Whiskers Pet Rescue
Sweet, little Bumble was nearly a victim of economic euthanasia, but a kind-hearted animal hospital and Wags and Whiskers Pet Rescue intervened just in time! "Some people who claimed they found the kitten brought him into the veterinary clinic," Raquel F., with the rescue group, tells Waggle. "Bumble's eye was rotten. The clinic told them it needed to be removed. The people said, 'We can't afford the surgery. You should euthanize him.'" But instead, that animal hospital called Wags and Whiskers. The group immediately agreed to take the kitten. Raquel rushed over to pick Bumble up and was floored when she saw his eye. "I was shocked! This poor kitten! He is so young and has already gone through something so traumatic and painful," Raquel says. No one knows what exactly caused Bumble's eye condition. "It may have started as an infection, or it was scratched," Raquel says. "There was no way of saving it. Dr. Davis at Chico Pet Vet was so great in getting Bumble in right away and recommended his eye be removed to prevent any further damage to his tiny body and prevent infection." Raquel adds that Bumble was so tiny, her venti-sized Starbucks coffee cup was larger than he was when she first picked him up. Now he's in a foster home and loves everyone he meets. "Because he was an orphan when he was rescued, he quickly bonds with new people and even other animals. He loves the other dogs in his foster home and asks them for warmth and cuddles when his human is unavailable. It is impossible to say no to such a cute "meow" when he comes up asking for attention," Raquel says. Now the group is raising the money to pay for Bumble's surgery and needs your help. "We are a rescue organization, and the amount of animals we help is greatly influenced by the amount of funds we have available," Raquel says. "Adoptions have been slowing down lately, which means we now have to rely on donations from kind-hearted people like you."
