Dear Santa, please send the Tooth Fairy! Shiloh was a surrendered 18 mo. old, at high risk in an L.A. County shelter. She was so timid, but she blossomed into my funny girl and has been my pal for over 8 yrs. She is a special needs girl, diagnosed with advanced osteoarthritis and hip displasia at that early age; for which I give monthly Adequan injections, pain med and supplements. Shiloh's other roomate is a parrot, rescued from a tree near the community pool. He blows kisses and is quite gabby and animated. Her best dog friend lives next door, among others in a TX senior rental community. Shiloh is a treasure, worth her precious weight for fending off a break-in and deterring prowlers. Shiloh was my inspiration to be a Rescue and Animal Welfare Advocate. She is the example of all the good pets waiting for a forever home, if only the chance. I'm a "Virtual Rescuer", crossposting/networking, fundrisiing and transport of urgent strays. Shiloh rewards me cuddles, and proudly rustles my bed with zoomies EVERY night since. Shiloh needs Xrays, Pre-op blood test, Periodontal work for inflamed teeth, possible extraction(s), Papilloma removal and dental cleaning under sedation. She received a long term antibiotic to tide her over the Holidays ($173 cost), further care estimate range to $750. Our veterinarian helps a lot of Rescues. I am retired on a limited, fixed income, with a chronic health condition. I have upcoming expense of my own cracked molar, dental crown as soon as feasible after Shiloh's care. I previously sold my home because of significant medical expenses.
