Wrigley
Wrigley is a 1 year old German Shepherd Dog in Seguin, TX, who needs $2,000 for Arthroscopic Surgery.
Seguin, TX
I wasn’t searching for another dog, but Wrigley was the last of his litter, as though he was waiting for me. It felt like fate. October 2024, he filled our home with love, laughter, and puppy chaos alongside his big sister, Sadie. Named after my favorite baseball team, Wrigley was meant to be ours and now he deserves his chance to run pain-free. In early 2025, Wrigley was diagnosed with Osteochondritis dissecans (OCD) in his front right leg and hip dysplasia in both hips. He receives monthly Librela and Adequan injections and anti-inflammatories as needed. His care is costly, but we’re committed to every treatment. We’re now seeking help for surgery to repair his OCD so he can live and play without pain. Wrigley’s best friend is his sister, Sadie, and their bond is pure joy. He’s vocal, expressive, and always let us know what he thinks! They say dogs don’t smile, but he proves them wrong every day when he gets his belly rubs. He’s also our brave “protector”, convinced the vacuum is a threat and guarding everyone in his home the moment it’s turned on. We’re on a fixed income and doing our best to keep up with Wrigley’s monthly treatments, but surgery costs are beyond our reach. Having him healthy and pain-free you would mean everything to us! Seeing him run and play again would be the greatest gift we could ask for.

Karma
Karma is a 11 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in Marion, TX, who needs $1,500 for Mast Cell Tumor Removal.
Marion, TX
Karma came into my life when she was abandoned by her owner, I had no idea how old she was or her background but I have a heart for pit bulls, I already had my pup Hazel and they got along so well and became the best of friends. She has been there through all of my homes, the birth of my son who is now 9 years old and since the passing of Hazel, she has welcomed my German shepherd into our home. Karma had a small lump on her neck that fluctuated in size over a couple of years, vets wanted to wait and see if they progressed when we noticed another mass that looked a bit more suspicious, so we decided to send out a sample and low and behold it was a confirmed mast cell tumor. She has been seen by an amazing veterinarian Dr. Fowler at County Line Veter Clinic. Her health is my obligation. I have been caring for her since she was abandoned, she has been the sweetest girl, she’s welcomed so many dogs that I’ve pet sitter before, blended right in with my cat, when she came to me she was terrified of rain and now she has overcome that obstacle and that really makes me proud, she goes on all our trips with us and has brought so much love to all the family. I'm current pregnant, struggled to get insured, now that I am I have an extremely high deductible that must be paid monthly prior to delivery. Her sister/companion recently passed away from a splenic mass that drained my credit cards and lead to her passing due to lackfunds.

Gunnar
Gunnar is a 10-year-old Dachshund in New Braunfels, TX, who needs $869 for mass removal.
New Braunfels, TX
I adopted my pet, Gunnar in 2008 when I was going through a terrible time in my life. I was dealing with the suicide of my husband. We bonded immediately. From the first night, Gunnar has always slept with me. In 2010, Gunnar and I were driving down the highway and Gunnar jumped into the floor board of the drivers side. I lost control of my vehicle, went off of the highway, through a fence. I hit a tree and rolled the vehicle. Gunnar was ok, however, I was life flighted to a Hospital in San Antonio, Texas where I spent several days with a collapsed lung and other injuries. In 2015, Gunnar and I were out in my back yard. I did not realize that the dog that lives behind me had dug under the fence. I left Gunnar in the yard to go inside my house for a minute. I heard a horrible screaming and saw that the dog behind me had came into my yard and was attacking Gunnar. My 4 year old grand daughter witnessed this. I could not get the dog to let go of Gunnar. He had Gunnars ear and face and would not let go. When I would try to get Gunnar, the dog would drag him so that I could get him. I finally was able to lay down on top of Gunnar. With my hand I pushed this dogs face and nose until he let go. I continued to lay on top of Gunnar, completely covering him so the dog could not attack him again. This is when the dog turned on me. I suffered bites, scrapes and injuries to the back of my head. Luckily, someone heard what was going on and called the police. The police arrived and were able to help me get up and get Gunnar out of my yard. I immediatley put him in my car and drove him to his vet. His ear was dangling off of his head. The vet started wrapping him up and getting him on pain meds, so that he could be transported to a surgeon in San Antonio. I then went straight to the hospital myself. After my treatment, I drove to find my Gunnar. He was in serious condition. The surgeon needed to remove his ear, which was more major than I would think. Everything inside the ear had to be removed as well. He had wounds to his nasal cavity that had to be stitched up. He had missing & broken teeth as well as some damage to one of his paws. The surgeon would only be able to start the surgery after I gave them a 3500. deposit. With the help of a credit card and 2 of my mothers credit cards, we were able to pay the money. Surgery went well (or so we thought) until a few days later when Gunnar got an infection. It would have to be opened back up and then re stitched. After 10 days at the surgery center and a little over 5000., Gunnar came home! This incident made our bond even stronger. We were both traumatized as well as my grand daughter. When I took Gunnar for his check up, the surgeon realized that his eye duct was paralysed. As a result of this, he would need artificial tears for the rest of his life. He also does not blink or shut his eye when he sleeps. He healed up well and life went on..... Now its 2019 and Gunnar has a large tumor on his tail. Today it began to bleed. I rushed Gunnar to the vet. Dr. Fowler, who knew Gunnar from the day of the dog attack, looked him over. She said he needs surgery to remove it. The surgery is estimated to cost around 868. I do not have the money for this. I still owe on the credit cards I used to pay for his ear surgery. I am on disabilty, as a result of the wreck that Gunnar and I were in. I only receive 885. a month and I barely get by. I was able however, to buy some antibiotics and some spray to try to help him until I can get the tumor removed. It needs to be soon though because the skin tissue is dying and that is what is causing it to bleed. Dr Fowler said the tissue would continue to open up and bleed until she can remove it. I also just lost my 16 year old Great Pyrenees, 4 days ago. After a battle with congestive heart failure, I had to make the horrifying decision to put him to sleep. This was devasting to me. My dogs are like my children. Gunnar and I have the closest bond of any dog I have ever had. He follows me wherever I go. No matter what room I am in, he is right there with me. He has been such a warrior. Dr Fowler just said today that she will never forget the day Gunnar came in with his dog attack wounds. She said she had never seen anything like it and that it is a miracle that he survived.
