Luna

Luna is a 9 year old German Shepherd Dog in Clinton, IA, who needs $3,000 for CT Scan.

Clinton, IA

Luna was rescued at a wal-mart in a small town at the age of 6 weeks old. The guy that had her put her in a wal-mart bag, tied it up and was getting ready to throw her into the river. Luna is currently dealing with a big, slightly bigger than a softball, sized mass that is growing on her right shoulder. She was previously tested for cancer, which thankfully they didn't sense, now we are needing to get a CT Scan to see how far the mass is growing and to find the root of it's cause. Luna has gone from her very playful, happy-go-lucky self that would play constantly with a big goofy smile on her face, to not being albe to do anything at all. She used to LOVE playing with her Mr Monster tug toy, now she can't and refuses to even pick it up. She's gone from eating any and all food we put in front of her, to not wanting to touch food at all without us watching her. When the mass originally started growing, we had enough saved up in an emergency fund to cover the inital vet visit. With my husband being the only one working in the house, we are barely making ends meet on bills let alone able to afford the cost for her CT scan needed.

Bronx

Bronx is a 7 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in Davenport, IA, who needs $2,000 for Limb Amputation for Removal of Bone Cancer.

Davenport, IA

Bronx was born in the spring of 2018 and initially adopted by another family around April of that year. However, due to financial hardship, they were unable to care for him. In May 2018, my family adopted Bronx into our home—a blessing when we were grieving the loss of our beloved brindle pit bull, who had passed away from cancer at just four years old. Bronx joined a household filled with love. In October 2024 Bronx was diagnosed with bone cancer on his back leg. Since then we have him on a regime of pain kills and transfusions do slow the process of spreading. Unfortunately as of 01OCT25 the cancer is spreading up his leg while eating away his bone. The vet believes the best way to save his life would be amputation of the leg. Bronx is still full of life and it breaks our hearts. Bronx isn’t just a pet—he’s a source of comfort, joy, and unconditional love. He came into our lives when we needed healing, and filled a space that felt impossible to fill. His loyalty, goofy personality, and gentle nature have bonded us in ways only a dog can. He’s woven into our daily lives, our routines, and our hearts. He knows when you are down and provides sincere love towards you. Our Family is in financial need to help Bronx get his amputation, we live pay check to pay check and the past years vet bills have already made life difficult to manage and with bills piling up I don't know if we can afford to pay for his amputation. Any help would be great.
