Opie
Opie is a 10 year old Shih Tzu in Louisville, KY, who needs $800 for Rectal Tumor Removal and Neuter.
Louisville, KY
Opie came to me as a birthday gift 10 years ago. I fell in love with him and he had been my best friend for 10 long years. He has had quite the life. Somewhat like a cat in that he has many lives. I've almost lost him a few times due to his antics. He is the best dog brother to my two daughters and has been with the youngest her entire life. He is the best guy there ever was. Opie has a tumor on his rectum. He needs this removed as it could be cancerous. He was never neutered so he has gotten what the vet is calling a hormonal tumor. It causes him great discomfort. He has early kidney disease and having him in and out of the vet for that has really put a strain on my finances. He needs the surgery sooner then I can manage on my own. He is such a sassy little dog! He hates going potty in the rain. He doesn't like my cats but only because he gets jealous. He is a major barker. Even barks are nothing. He sleeps with me every single night, right by my head. I wouldn't know how to sleep any other way. He was the last puppy picked from the litter and had been the best thing to happen to me and my daughters. He is family! I am a single mother with two daughters. I work a full time job and have been with this company for 10 years. With the economy, and a few other factors, my savings is gone. I also have a cat with medical needs and juggling between the two of them has been extremely tough.

Church
Church is a 10 month old Mix-Breed in LOUISVILLE, KY, who needs $1,300 for Neutering and Docking.
LOUISVILLE, KY
Church came to me via a friend who breeds her great Pyrenees and Poodle. He lives in our home with a big backyard for him to run it. At 10 month old he is 85 lbs and requires a whole bunch of room to run about. Church has been diagnosed with happy tail and it's severe. After trying to treat it for over a month, the vet is needing to dock his tail. I know docking is taboo but he is in a lot of pain. We aren't able to brush his tail and his doodle fur is now matted. He bites out of pain and at this point we are only able to utilize an Elizabethan collar to try and prevent bleeding and tissue damage. Church will be training as a service dog for me. We are finishing basic training and will be starting specialization training once he gets a bit older. He also lives with our goofy old cats who all get along and play together. I am a 33 year old disabled woman who is unable to work. I got sick around 2017 and I lost my first dog at 12 last July and we got Church a few days later in July. He has helped me in many ways and I just want him to be pain free again.
