B'Elanna is a former stray who was adopted from a kind foster dad five years ago when her Meowmy, who is multiply disabled, needed an emotional support animal in grad school. B'Elanna is currently loved by her two married Meowmies, and she loves her Meowmies as well. Her Meowmies are planning to move somewhere cheaper so they can afford B'Elanna's cancer care, but they still need help. B'Elanna is the sweetest, most loving cat you could imagine. She will meow until one of her Meowmies lets B'Elanna on their lap, and then she will purr like a freight train. She is a smart girl and knows to run to her food dish when she hears the alarm one of her Meowmies uses for the "feed B'Elanna" reminder. Even when her Meowmies are busy, B'Elanna is always around, wanting attention. B'Elanna's original Meowmy recently escaped a domestic abuse situation and had to completely start over financially. The chain mastectomy will be much more expensive than a lumpectomy alone, but B'Elanna's health means everything to her Meowmies. B'Elanna was diagnosed with mammary cancer earlier this year. She had a mammary mass removed from her abdomen a few months ago, and her Meowmies found another tumor a week ago. B'Elanna's vet, Dr. Mark Sadler at Duke Animal Hospital in Chicago, agrees that the best course of action is to perform a chain mastectomy to remove the tumor and prevent further growths in mammary tissue. B'Elanna is such a sweetheart she turned one of her Meowmies from a dog person into a cat person. B'Elanna loves giving headbutts, purrs, snugs, and sometimes kisses to her Meowmies and even guests. When she hears her name called by a Meowmy or sees one of her Meowmies, B'Elanna does the "happy tail;" she sticks her tail so high in the air it quivers.
