Los Angeles, CA
Two very dear friends paid for an adoption of two kittens after I had suffered a horrible loss of my senior kitty to cancer. One a black shorthair and another a grey tabby who looked like the kitties from my childhood. The tabby cat I named Harley, she's a protective healing kitten who would sit on my chest when I had vertigo and when I cried. She's 15 now. Harley is a tough kitty but she's been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and on meds. She needs to go in pretty regularly for blood panels, but I haven't had the funds to keep that up with two kitties who have issues. I'm really panicked to get on track with her exams. I am very grateful to my new vet at Emerald Hospital for giving me a plan of treatment. Harley is truly a healing protective animal. She's will come from another room to defend her sister when she's been mischievous. She's more private and selective with people she cuddles up to, but if she loves you she's your bestie. Harley believes the bed is hers and luxuriates in the covers supervising her sister who thinks she's boss. They are very close. The last 2 1/2 years have devastated my finances. I've been freelance my entire career and jobs have been very difficult to find. I came very close to being homeless and losing my car and utilities and the few emergency vet visits compromised everything. I need help.

Los Angeles, CA
Two very dear friends paid for an adoption of two kittens after I had suffered a horrible loss of my senior kitty to cancer. One a black shorthair and another a grey tabby who looked like the kitties from my childhood. The black cat I named Jenny Lopez, even as a kitten she was confident and demanding of attention especially from any and all male friends. I got her at 6 weeks, she's 15 now. Lopez's digestive system issues, and hyperthyroidism mean visits and meds. My new vet is thorough. I need to have diagnostics that will rule out cancer which terrifies me that I do not have the fund for. An ultrasound for her tummy, an echochardiogram for a heart murmur and blood panels are expensive and necessary and urgent. This in addition to expensive meds. Lopez's partner in crime is my grey tabby Harley. My former vet, suspects they might be siblings. Lopez is the extravert, spoiled like her sister but she hoards all their toys that friends have given and arranges each one around herself. Harley can play but she can't keep them. If one is in trouble the other comes to the rescue, they are very close. My cats I gotten me through many bad years. The last 2 1/2 years have devastated my finances. I've been freelance my entire career and unfortunately jobs continue to be difficult to find. I have managed to stay afloat but the few emergency vet visits compromised everything. My kitties are my family and I need urgent help for their treatments.
