Monkey (aka Munks) started her life out as a stray in MA. My mother found her in her garage. She was with my mom for 5yrs. When my mother passed away Munks has some pet steps both to my bed and the windows. She has two heated beds. One on my bed by the window and another under my bed. When I'm watching TV she has rests on a designated pillow I put on my lap. Her window looks out on a sunny back area. Every day we go outside and she hides amongst the fennel plants. Occasionally we go for a walk and she she'll smell the city sidewalk plants. I get Monkey catnip bananas and she loves them so intensely she accidentally throws them across the room. She is so incredibly chatty. She likes to use my hands as her pillow. Just resting her face on my wrists. Since she's been unwell she hasn't played my favourite game WHOSE FOOT IS IT? Rules are my feet are moving under a blanket and must be stopped. By tooth or claw she's the cat to do it! End of November she was "at deaths door" vets words. Kidney failure. Since then, she's improved greatly. Now that she is no longer dying, we can now focus on the other health concerns we set aside while triaging her kidney health. She's sometimes in pain when she eats or drinks and had lost weight. I am a bartender. I am barely making rent. It'll be years before I can afford to set aside enough money to afford this surgery. This wracks me with guilt. She is my favourite and also is an innocent I'm responsible for. I hate failing her. Munks is also a piece of my mother
