Ghost

Ghost is a 2 year old Siberian Husky in Jacksonville, FL, who needs $1,000 for HW Tx: 3 Melarsomine Injections, Plus X-rays.

Jacksonville, FL

Hi everyone! My name is Maissa, and I am a proud wooly husky owner. My baby boy's name is Ghost and he is 2 years old. He came from a neglectful and abusive "home" (if you want to call it that). He has been with me now for 1 year and a few months. He is the best dog I have ever met, and is truly an angel. He is so calm, and loving, and only deserves the best. He has been recently diagnosed with Heartworm disease and is in the midst of treatment. I was not aware he was sick until he started to show symptoms. He began coughing at night but then started to cough throughout the day within one or two days, so I took him to the vet, and that is where he got the diagnosis. He is a very lovable, and sweet dog. Any place I have ever took Ghost to, people have told me that he is a sweetheart, and truly one of the best husky dogs they ever interacted with. He would never hurt a fly, and is so curious to learn about the world around him! He is truly an angel, I can not say that enough. I am a current medical student, studying to get an MD and MPH. I am already dealing with medical school costs, so this is an added expense. I will continue my best to pay for his treatments, but any help would be appreciated! Big or small

Thor

Thor is a 2 year old Siberian Husky in Pomona Park , FL, who needs $500 for Diagnosis and Treatment.

Pomona Park, FL

We got Thor because of tragedy. I had his sister and she had parvo when I got her and I didn't know it we tried everything to save her but she was too far gone. I went to tell the people I got her from & I saw Thor and started crying. But when I got him he was almost 3 months old but he barely looked like a 1 mth old. I fattened him up and we've had him for 2 years now almost three he's my baby My husband got his shots from tractor supply. I told him I didn't want to do that because they may not work, he didn't listen & now I think he has distemper. I'm trying to get him into First Coast No More Homeless Animals (I think that's right) He is my ESA, but he's also my baby boy! My kids will be destroyed if something happened to Thor, so would I. He's such a happy guy, the goodest good boy ever, even though he doesn't listen most of the time. He's my boy & best friend. We moved & since we got here it's like our lives have just fallen apart. Anything that can go wrong is. My husband works himself to death just to feed everyone. I can't find a job close enough for me to get home to get my kids off the bus. We're just really struggling atm

Cali

Cali is a 4 month old Mix-Breed in Jacksonville, FL, who needs $200 for Physical Exam.

Jacksonville, FL

Hi! I found this cat a few days ago; she followed me and my family home and so we took her in. We aren’t sure what type of cat she is specifically, but we do think she’s a calico. She’s very small, we think she must be less than six months old but she could be older. She’s frail and very calm. I just need a physical exam for the cat. She hasn’t been eating, she barely moves, and she’s been very sick these past two days. We have encountered several fleas and a few ticks on her and we have removed them ourselves but she still seems sick. We just need help since we don’t have the financial ability to take her to any vet on our own. Cali is sweet and very obedient. Despite being a street cat, she listens very well. She allowed me to give her a bath the first night we caught her, and she’s been such a sweetheart ever since. There is so much going on right now. Cali was such a blessing when she came into our lives, despite it having been only such a short while ago. She is kind and beautiful, and she deserves all the love and happiness in the world. I just hope we can find it.

Tootsie

Tootsie is a 3-year-old Domestic Short Hair Cat in Jacksonville, FL, who needs $1,553 for Dental Extraction.

Jacksonville, FL

Tootsie came into my life after I adopted her the day after Christmas a few years ago. She’s my very first cat and I’ve had her for almost 4 years now. I never asked how she ended up at the adoption place but I was told that she hates people and that she doesn’t like being around other cats and there were at least 100 cats at that place. I knew right away that I have to take her home with me. She likes to sleep on a pillow above my head and sometimes under a blanket. Tootsie is very skittish so she’s only comfortable to sleep around me and my sister. Her favorite thing to do is go outside and haunt lizards in the backyard. And when she’s not outside, she’s usually by the window to watch more lizards and cars drive by. She talks us into opening the window for her sometimes. When it comes to treats, she goes crazy for Churus! And despite having toys, she prefers to play with wrappers or anything she can find on the floor. Toosie likes to be hydrated so she spends forever drinking water from her water fountain and I kind of find it funny. She’s easily very scared by movement or noise and we figured she was traumatized by whatever happened to her before we adopted her. Last month, I took her to FCNMH in Cassat ave cause she was drooling blood. Turns out she has stomatitis and in so much pain. Ever since then, her quality of life had been severely affected. Her demeanor changed, she refused to eat, and had drastic weight loss. We tried to manage the pain with medication but she’s still in pain and not eat.Only option left is to extract the remaining of her teeth. However, with my emergency fund drained from her previous extraction, the estimate of $1,552.75 to extract the rest of her teeth was a sudden major expense for me. We would appreciate every contribution, no matter how small, to help restore her healthy life.

Honey

Honey is a 3-year-old Red Nose Pitbull in Jacksonville , FL, who needs $1,500 for X-rays and Treatment for her Hind End.

Jacksonville, FL

Honey became a member of our family a year ago, after she was rescued from a gas station where she had been abandoned. She lives in our home with her mommy, daddy, 2 human brothers, 2 human sisters, 1 fur brother Tyson and one chameleon sister, Mrs. Crawley and 1 python sister Nala. Honey has such a sweet personality. She loves to snuggle on the couch with her family, She has facial expressions that tells you exactly what she's thinking or feeling. She likes to go for walks around the neighborhood, play with her fur brother Tyson, in the back yard playing fetch with sticks. She is the baby of the family and gets love and affection constantly. Honey is special because she has a bubbly, lovey personality. She is so strong willed and determined to bring happiness and comfort to our family. She is right by our side all the time and never leaves our eye sight. She holds our hearts in her paws and we love her so very much. Honey began having issues with her legs and hips about a week ago. We are having financial difficulties to the point we haven't been able to afford the initial vet visit due to rising costs of living, bills that are already past due and Christmas. She currently can not apply any pressure to her hind end due to the pain and swelling. She is suffering and can only walk on her front paws to go potty. With Christmas and cost of living rising we can not afford the vet bills. She is a major part of our family and the only thing I want is to see my baby girl healthy again. This is affecting her appetite, she's losing weight and I'm so scared of losing our baby girl.

Photo of Pogo

Pogo

Pogo is a three-month-old Siamese cat in Kingsland, GA, who needs $700 for emergency surgery.

Kingsland, GA

Heroes rise to the occasion and that's exactly what Kristina Y. and her brother did when they rescued Pogo. It all started when Kristina's brother heard his neighbor start his car and got a horrible shock. "They saw a bunch of cats scatter," Kristina tells Waggle. "They think there was a litter of kittens under the hood. Then they heard clunking and screaming from the engine." What they heard was Pogo under the hood! "Unfortunately, the (car's) belt pulled Pogo's arm and broke it," Kristina says. Kristina's brother called her in a panic. He was moving out of the country and could not keep the kitten. He sent her pictures of Pogo. "I immediately fell in love with him and couldn't leave him. I just loved his baby blue eyes. I couldn't leave him to die. I didn't want him going to an animal shelter. I knew an injured cat might be in danger. I said I'd come to get him," Kristina says. Kristina raced to meet her brother, got Pogo, and rushed him to First Coast No More Homeless Pets. Sadly Pogo's leg is in terrible shape. He needs amputation surgery and to be neutered. Adopting a new family member was not something Kristina had planned on. She is struggling to pay for his emergency care. "I currently could use the financial assistance," she says. "I am a single mother. My youngest child and I had COVID not too long ago, which put me really behind with bills. I love Pogo so much, but the cost of his treatment is too high for me to do alone." The animal hospital helped raise $1000 to treat Pogo and now Waggle is helping raise the additional $700 he needs for the operation. Pogo has a wonderful life ahead of him after he gets the surgery he needs. He has made himself at home with Kristina and her family. He developed a deep bond already with Kristina's son, who is autistic. "Pogo sleeps in front of my son's bed. He's therapeutic for him. They hit it off. Pogo has free roam of the house and occasionally will go on our porch to bird watch. He loves belly rubs and acts like a guard dog at night in front of my son's room. He will definitely let you know if he is upset because he stares you right in the face and meows as loud as he can," Kristina says. Can you help Pogo this holiday season?

Paige

Paige is a 1-year-old Mix in Jacksonville , FL, who needs $1,100 for testing and diagnostics.

Jacksonville, FL

I've had Paige since she was 3 weeks old. Paige's mom passed and her along with her sister's and brother's were given to a friend of mine. I asked for one and I picked Paige. We have been inseparable ever since. She is a mix breed median size dog. She is very sweet and loves affection. I came up with the name Paige because her chihuahua brother name is Pedro. Paige is very much a family dog and has grown up around my best friend children. She loves people, loves going to the Dog park, sleeping, playing, and cuddling. She has a chihuahua brother and you will always catch them side by side. If one is gone the other one acts distressed. I love their little bond. I am a bit pressed financially with Paige. I have taken her to the vet over 7 time which has caused challenges to my financial situation. It's frustrating not to see her back to full health yet. My goal would be for her to be able to see a specialist and overcome her condition Paige medical situation has continued to worsen despite changes to her diet and numerous medications. She has been treated at No More Homeless Pets and San Marco's Animal hospitals. She has gastritis and is now suffering from gastritis hemorrhage. The cause of the condition is unknown across the board. She has been pledged with this condition for more then six months. Paige is the sweetest dog an owner could ever wish for. She loves to cuddle and she still seem to think she is a little puppy. She is compassionate and loving to her chihuahua brother. I always catch the two playing or sleeping next to each other. I couldn't ask for a better dog. I just wish she would get better quickly.

Odin is a 3-year-old Walker/Lab Mix in Saint Augustine, FL, who needs $900 for mass removal surgery.

SAINT AUGUSTINE, FL

Odin came into our life by accident. He was handed to my then 5 year old son outside of Walmart as a little puppy the lady then walked off. My son was instantly in love and Odin has been his best friend and constant companion ever since. All my son wanted from Santa this year was his dog's leg fixed so he could go back to normal and play again. Before the tumor Odin was high energy play all the time. He loves fetch, hiking, wrestling with the cat and lounging on the couch his his boy Adyn. Unfortunately since the tumor has grown on his hind leg running and hiking have been off the table due to pain. Odin likes to be close to the family either laying on the cough with my children or under the table by me and my wife he loves family. With the last year I lost my job due to covid in March Finally got back to work in Dec then was exposed to covid and placed on quarantine. It has been a rough year and all my son wanted for Christmas from Santa was his dog's leg fixed so they could play again. We took Odin to First coast No More Homeless pet to see what was going on with this tumor. After blood work it appears to be a mass cell tumor and fairly simple to remove. it is roughly the size of a large softball. It does not appear to be cancerous, thank God. his surgery is scheduled for the 11th of Jan. hopefully we will be able to keep the appt. Odin has two best buddies! My son Adyn and Bronn the cat. Odin is extremely smart and attentive to his people he will always come lay his head on you when your feeling down. He is also a clown always on his back legs flopping acting like he doesnt have a care in the world. He is the best dog I have ever had in my life just a joy.

A few months back my husband found a litter of kittens that were being taken to the pound. He brought all of them home and found homes for most of them except two. The instant I saw Ash I fell in love. We have been so connected to each other ever since, he follows me everywhere I go. He also either sleeps on my pillow or chest at night. He is so great with my kids also. The whole family has fallen in love with this cat more than I thought we could fall in love with an animal. Ever since we have found out that he was sick our hearts have been breaking.
