Nova came to us from a friend who could no longer take care of him. He was 7 months old when we got him. We immediately fell in love & have been inseparable since. He was named after a racecar from the original owner. We kept his name as requested but nicknamed him Mr. Wiggles. We call him that because he always greets you with a toy in his mouth and his whole wiggling and ready to play. He started limping and at first, I thought he had just pulled a muscle playing with our other dog. The limp stopped for a while but came back. I took him to the vet who got x-rays and found out he damaged his cruciate ligament. He needs TPLO surgery, which is expensive. Once he gets the surgery he only needs to go through recovery and no other treatment is needed. Nova is special in many ways to all of us. We each have our own bond with him. He sleeps with my oldest son every night & helps him feel secure. He actually has a hard time sleeping if Nova can't sleep with him. My youngest son feeds him and loves to play with him. My husband loves him more than any other dog, Nova makes him feel special. For me, he is always there when I need emotional support. Currently, my husband is the only one working and the surgery is not something we have the money to cover. We can cover some of the cost, but not all of it.
