Help Jerry get Tumor Removal and Toe Amputation Procedure — North Palm Beach, FL

North Palm Beach, FL

Jerry is a 9 year old rat terrier. Jerry was adopted from the Boyle County Humane Society in Danville, Kentucky when he was two months old in July 2017. Together, Jerry and I moved to Florida in December of 2017 so that I could pursue college and new opportunities in the sunshine state. We lived in hotels, eventually saved up enough for an apartment and found our foothold in a new place. Jerry was diagnosed with a metastatic tumor in his right rear paw in December of 2022. He had his first surgery to remove the mass that same month. Unfortunately that first procedure was not a total success and the tumor began to regrow in February of 2024. He now faces the reality of having the mass removed again, and the amputation of some of his toes on that same paw to ensure success. Jerry is the most important relationship I've ever had in my life. His companionship, love and joy each day have come to be the rock that my life is built on. Without him, and the responsibility to care for him I do not know if I would have had the strength to rebuild my life and keep going when things were difficult. I owe him my life, and will do whatever is needed to get the help he needs. I lost my job in 2023 when my place of business closed. After several months I was able to secure a new job but not at the same pay rate as my old one. Eventually, I was forced to file bankruptcy in 2025 which created difficulties in getting the care Jerry needs.
