I found my cat when i was in middle school, as a kitten when her and her litter mates were dropped off at our family hog barn in the middle of winter. We brought them home and kept them in a warm coop for the winter, originally to be mousers. Three of her litter mates got sick and passed, so i brought her inside the house and shes been strictly indoor ever since. My cat likes to jump on my lap and when she did so i noticed odd crustiness on her stomach. When i checked i found a small abscess and scheduled a vet appointment ASAP. I found out at that appointment that she has a heart murmur, and the abscess is because she has a lump on her gland and will need surgery to remove and determine if its cancerous, and will need spayed to slow more growth. My cat loves to talk, the first thing she does when she knows I'm awake is yell at me for her breakfast serving of wet food. If I am at home but not in the same room as her, she'll call for attention too. She is shy around other people, but loves to cuddle with me, be held like a baby and watch birds out of my bed room window. She also paws at my arms until I cuddle with her in them. My dad lost his job and dumped several thousand in unpaid bills on the rest of us with no warning. The rest of us work for the schools and have been struggling to catch up to that, so this is another surprise that we cant fit in.
