Lincoln came into our lives in November of 2023 just after we moved back into our home after being displaced from water damage caused by a negligent roofing company. As you could imagine, a catastrophic event like that can wreak havoc on a person that struggles with their Mental Health. Lincoln brought me hope, comfort and an unconditional love that I needed so desperately. On January 3rd we lost Lincoln’s best bud, Maple to Mast Cell Cancer. He was grieving, we all were. I took him to the dog park to lighten the mood and for him to get some interaction again. Well, he went hard. We woke in the night to him screaming in pain. Leg shaking. The next day the vet confirmed progressive and advanced spinal spondylosis with potential for nerve compression and disc disease. Lincoln is the most loving and friendly dog. He has been an emotional support animal for me as well as for my son since losing his support doggo, Maple just weeks ago. He brings us so much joy and peace. Financially, I have only been working part-time as I am still battling with health issues. My husband has soley supported our family of 6. When Maple got Cancer in June, we exhausted a significant amount of savings on her surgery, only to lose her shortly after.
