🌿 Meet Maple 🌿

Chesapeake, VA • Rebas Animal Rescue

The other week, a very special rescue quietly made its way to Reba's. Maple arrived pregnant and heartworm positive, needing a safe place to rest and prepare for her puppies. Shortly after, she delivered eight beautiful, healthy pups and is already proving to be the most devoted mama. Her little forest of babies includes: Boxelder Vernon Douglas Willoughby Red Norway Hawthorne And Juniper, the only girl Right now, Maple’s job is simple: rest, recover, and care for her babies. Once the puppies are weaned, she will begin the heartworm treatment needed to live a long and healthy life. Caring for a mama and eight newborn puppies takes a village. If you'd like to help support Maple and her little forest of pups, please donate today. Any amount no matter the size makes a huge difference. Thank you!

Lego

Lego is a 4 month old Mix-Breed in Chesapeake, VA, who needs $1,500 for Amputation, spay, vaccination and recovery.

Chesapeake, VA • Rebas Animal Rescue

Four-month-old Lego was found alone on the roadside, her tiny body trembling and her leg shattered—most likely hit by a car. 💔 Even through the pain, she still purred when someone reached to comfort her. That spark of trust reminded us why we do what we do—because every life deserves a chance to heal and be loved again. Our vet partners at Grant Vet Care evaluated Lego, and determined she needed surgery to stop the pain and give her a real chance at life. Thanks to the quick response of our CARE Fund and the generosity of donors, Lego’s amputation was performed right away. She came through bravely and is already learning to balance, play, and explore again—fearless on three legs and full of heart. Lego’s surgery and recovery are expected to cost around $1,500. After surviving such a traumatic injury, she now needs continued medical care, rest, and love to fully heal. Your support will help cover her surgery expenses, follow-up treatments, and the gentle care that will carry her into a healthy, happy life. Every donation brings her closer to that fresh start she’s fought so hard to earn. 🧡 Your gift doesn’t just help Lego heal—it keeps our mission alive. Every donation strengthens our ability to respond when the next injured or abandoned animal needs urgent care, turning moments of suffering into second chances and hope. 🧡

Lumi

Lumi was born with a rare condition. Will you be her hero?

Chesapeake, VA • Rebas Animal Rescue

When Lumi was born, her world was already dark, but she never seemed to notice. At just five months old, this tiny kitten moves through life with quiet confidence. She tilts her head when she hears your voice, chases jingling toys by sound, and curls into your hands like she’s known you forever. Lumi was born with a rare condition called severe microphthalmos, which means her eyes never developed properly. She cannot see, and her eyes are very small and hidden beneath her eyelids. Though the condition isn’t painful, it leaves her vulnerable to infection and discomfort as she grows. Lumi is scheduled for a delicate surgery with Grant Veterinary Hospital, to be spayed and remove both eyes. With your help, she can live comfortably and pain-free. She will never gain her sight, but once recovered, she’ll be ready to explore her world by scent and sound, learning her surroundings and melting hearts wherever she goes. This surgery will give Lumi comfort, safety, and freedom. But it comes at a cost. Your donation will help cover her surgical expenses and ongoing care as she heals and prepares for adoption, a forever home that will see her for who she truly is: a tiny beacon of courage. 4/18/26 Update Thank you to everyone who supported Lumi on her healing journey! We are happy to share that she has been adopted into her forever home, who has renamed her Gracie Mae, and she has a fur sibling who was also born blind. We are thrilled she is now living her best life.

Chesapeake, VA

We decided to get a dog and found him at Animal shelter 14 years ago and he made huge impact on our family. He is a very sweet and loving dog. He loves meeting and making friends with four legs. He loves going out for walks, camping and sleep!! He spent two years with skin growing mass. One of mass did went away but came back very aggressive and had to do surgery. Grant Vet took out two different mass and sent out the lab work. It came back that is mast tumor. After surgery he grow pain on his left front limb that cause him limping and is in so much pain. Vet did not want to prescribe him medicine until he has xray and blood work done. He has been family dog and very protective of his own family. We raised him for 14 years. Not once had any issues with other animals or people interacted him. I paid $1200 out of pocket for his surgery and I am on fixed income. I couldn’t pay any more to be sure he is comfortable until his time is up. I truly need help 😢

Jazzmine is a 9-year-old American Bully in Virginia Beach , VA, who needs $2,000 for Emergency Spay Surgery.

Virginia Beach, VA

Meet Jazzmine. We have had her since she was 7weeks old. She just turned 9yrs June 20th 2023. As of right now we are behind on bills and this happened unexpectedly Jazzmine is definitely the sassy princess of our lil family. She loves us all and is extremely loyal to us all but her absolute favorite person I'd say is my son. They have a extremely close bond. Other then the fact we have had her since she was 7 weeks old. Her loyalty and cuddles is what I'd say makes her so special to us. She is the absolute most loving and loves to cuddle and show her love to her family. I'd also like to add although at times it's difficult to deal with haha I love her sassy attitude On Oct 11th we took her to vet They diagnosed her with a "bug" sent us home with antibiotics and gave fluids. Oct 21st- woke up to her acting funny and back to way she was we ended up at urgent Care vet to find out she's got pyometra Currently grant vet in chseapeake Virginia is trying to work with us and do her surgery. Not only would it mean the world to me but this has been a nightmare for my kids to sit and watch and see. I know it would brighten their world to see their best friend..companion healthy again.
