Mya arrived on a snowy Christmas Eve as an 8-week-old surprise for my 9-year-old son. He hilariously named her after his school crush at the time, a story that still makes us laugh. Seven years later, she’s a full-time indoor pet in NE Ohio. Her routine has slowed due to senior hip stiffness, ear pain, and a lump, but she remains a gentle guardian to my 15-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter. Mya is our 7yo chocolate lab, gotten on Christmas Eve for my son’s 9th birthday. She’s our loyal protector and lover. Now, she’s facing senior hip issues, ear pain, and a lump. As a caregiver with cut hours raising a 15 and 4yo, everyday costs leave nothing for the vet. We live in NE Ohio and desperately need help getting her to the Vet ASAP to get the care she deserves. Mya is the soul of our home. Her loyalty is unmatched; she constantly goes out of her way to make sure we all feel loved. She shares a deep, lifelong bond with my 15-year-old son and is incredibly patient and gentle with my 4-year-old daughter. Even with senior aches, she still lights up for her favorite things: chewing on sticks and chasing tennis balls. She is pure love on four legs. My job hours were cut, significantly reducing my income right as inflation and the cost of everyday necessities skyrocketed. Because my reduced paycheck is completely stretched just covering basic living expenses, I have absolutely nothing left to afford Mya's veterinary car

Spudy needs help getting a feeding tube so he can begin to gain weight correctly. He eats the best he can on his own, but due to the masses in his mouth it’s causing more trouble for him and he is losing a lot of weight and I am syringe feeding him at the moment but it is not enough nutrients needed for his body. He has went blind had pancreatitis and had many masses found all within a 30 days. Spudy is my baby he is the most loving cat I have ever had. He loves to be carried like a baby on your hip he does not like to be alone. He loves sleeping with him he would come in the bed go under the blanket walk circles then lay his head on my pillow like he was a baby human. Spudy has been with me since I began my journey on my own and I would like him to continue. Spudy is just lovable he is a big love bug he knows when u need somebody. He has this way to know that I need him for a minute when facing hard moment. Spudy loves car rides he has traveled from Erie pa to Niagara Falls ny and now to willoughby Ohio. He has been such a fighter through all of this and he still is fighting and I refuse to give up until he is ready. I love Spudy he’s my baby. He began with pancreatitis which then led to masses being found in his mouth we thought we had control and would be ok then Spudy became blind that began another obstacle which i figured how to work with. Since his last visit on September 22,2022 the masses have spread and he he is to underweight for a biopsy or removal. He needs help with feeding tube placement so we can try for a better outcom. I do work but it is very minimal hours due to my disability. I have skipped many bills to get Spudy the care he has already been established. It would mean everything to me for Spudy to get the help he needs. Just to try for a difference can make a change for the better.

I had just received my first stable home and job. I started off with a dog but I was not allowed have the breed of dog in my house so I had to give him up. About a month later my neighbor said she had some cats and she had a lot of them. I went over and chose Spudy and sister especially Spudy because he seemed he needed more one on one attention. When I saw him I knew we needed each other. Spudy is my little baby. He loves everyone and interacts with everyone, but I am the main person he clings to. You see me you see Spudy always. He is the sweetest cat to everyone he just wants love and attention. He reminds me of a big baby that’s a furball and I say that because I can pick him up like a baby and he is ok with it. When others try and love on him he enjoys it so much. Spudy has always been by my side since the day I got him. He sleeps with on a regular basis he climbs under the blanket and lays his head on the pillow as if he was a human. He knows when things are bothering me and he knows when I just need somebody. He hugs you when u need it and he sits on my school work to let me know he is helping. I love everything about my Spudy. Spudy was recently diagnosed with pancreatitis and he also has a mass in his mouth. I have began already starting his treatment for his pancreatitis which requires me to give him an IV each day with pain medication. He still needs a biopsy for his mass in his mouth which they believe is sitting in a nerve causing damage to his eye. The mass needs removed asap for his prognosis to be stable. I am on disability I work but can only do limited hours due to my disability. I would be beyond grateful for Spudy to be helped seeing him hurt, hurts me. I would be to a happiness that can’t be explained if he were to get the help he needs now.
