Kira (aka Peaches) showed up in my social media feed with a plea for Foster or adoption otherwise she was scheduled for Euthanasia. We picked her up Sunday and she instantly became a member of our family. My 2.5 year old twins and my 12 year old loved her instantly, and she returned the love with tons of wet slobbery kisses. We want to be able to spoil her and provide a long life for her. Kira was hit by a car in Texas before being picked up by the Shelter. A vet wrongly stated her bone could just heal over time. She currently has a fractured radial-ulna that is a complete break and needs surgical repair. She is ineligible for insurance as its considered preexisting. We are trying to have it fixed by HRVSS which specialized in ortho repairs. Kira, splint and fractured pelvis arrived and immediately greeted everyone with kisses. She enjoys lounging around, and always wants to be snuggled next to one of us. She is unbelievably obedient and loyal already (I think she knows she is very loved) and aims to please. She is gentle with my 2 two year olds and immediately became friends with Baxter (my other dog) We do not have any emergency funds available, we are already in debt for appliances breaking, previous dog's cancer diagnosis, care, and burial, plus the cost of 2 toddlers and 4 older kids. I've reached out to every agency in our state, and so far nothing to show.
