Ann Arbor, MI
I adopted Jack from our local humane society when he was around six months old to be a companion to my then four-year-old dog, Theodore. In the five years since he’s become so much more than that, he’s truly the heart of our little pack and the sweetest dog I’ve ever known. Until recently the three of us have been regulars at our local dog park since both of my boys love to socialize and Jack loves to run. His love of running is what brought me here, as he recently tore his CCL (the dog equivalent of an ACL.) He has been evaluated by Heritage Animal Hospital in Dundee, Michigan and needs an TPLO surgery to be able to run again. (Or maybe just jog from now on.) Jack is the laid-back, reserved member of the family. He’s always up for a snuggle, and always protects his big brother from the vacuum cleaner. He is sweet, calm, and quiet. The opposite of his husky/hound brother with a huge personality, Jack is the low-key but incredibly loving half of my little duo. This injury occurred less than a week after my car died, and while I am already paycheck to paycheck. Any amount of help to offset the cost of surgery would be incredible. He is only six years old, and already misses his friends and active lifestyle so much.
