My name is Tuna Mae Grace & I’m a 10 year old pittie baby. Tuna is short for Petunia, which is the name my mama gave me when she rescued me, but I'm not much of a flower she says, so she shortened it to Tuna and it stuck! I used to have a brother who was a pittie rescue just like me, but he died a few years ago after fighting cancer. Mama & I miss him so much, but I have no prob being #1 baby! I turned 10 this year & boy has it been rough.I was diagnosed with Cushing's Disease in March so now I have to take a pill every day for the rest of my life. Then, in the summer, my mama & I were attacked by a big, scary dog when we were out for our daily walk. I had to have emergency surgery to stitch up my face. Then, just a week later, I tore my ACL, (ouch) and had to have another surgery! My mama is always telling me that I am the sweetest, schmoopiest, sassiest, silliest & most gentle & easy-going puppin around. She says I’m her bestie friend & the goodest girl & that I’m an amazing breed ambassador. I don’t know what that means, but I do know I love my mama so big & I am so grateful she rescued me all those years ago.She's always laughing at my funny faces & loves when I talk! Tuna Mae's multiple medical emergencies in 6 months were all so unexpected & while I have a small emergency fund, it is not enough to cover both of her surgeries & ongoing needs. I am a single person working both a full & part time job as a medical pediatric social worker

We foster Sanjay from a shelter 10 years ago, I was going through divorce when I had him he is my everything, a true love. Sanjay, he is a dog that every dog lover would like to have, well trained good manners and listening. Sanjay is lovely and protector. I hate to see him suffer. That breaks my heart. Sanjay never sick before, suddenly I saw a little bump appeared to his leg at thought it was an infection I took him to vet for some antibiotics. I shook to the core when the vet told me I won’t be able to afford his care because he has cancer. I want to save his leg, he is a tough dog he wants to live. I never stopped crying to see him like this. I live alone Sanjay he is the only friend I have, I feel protected to have him by my side, I couldn’t imagine my life without him. I had him when I was going the rougher time in my life. Losing my mom and going through divorce he was there with me, he is my therapy, I will do everything to save his life if I can I have to take care of my family back home, my financial hardship I cannot qualify for care credit to pay for Sanjay treatment he needs pain medication, I cannot afford that. I don’t want to put him to sleep if I can save his leg. I love him to much to let him go.

We got Koda 3 1/2 months ago. I have fell in love with him in this short amount of time. Koda is only 7 months old. He is the sweetest cat ever, and it breaks my heart that he is in pain and might not live. Koda likes too sleep in the bed with us. Unfortunately he is too weak right now to get up there. He has the sweetest disposition and most wonderful personality. He likes to be held like a baby and purrr. He is a gentle giant. He loves to be petted. Even him not feeling well he is still so sweet and loving. He loves the fishing toy and loves to follow me around. So I brought Koda to the vet on 12/21/23 for throwing up bile. Again to the emergency vet on 12/31/23 they gave him fluids and a shot and antibiotics to go home. 01/02/24 he had bloodwork, xray, enema done. They want to do exploratory surgery and I can't afford it. They think he may have swallowed something or something wrong with his intestines. My baby's life has only just begun he is 7 months old and deserves to live. I've already spent 1500 in vet bills. I don't have the funds for the exploratory surgery. I feel awful he is in pain and that I can't help him and save his life
