When the homeowner discovered Honey Toes shivering under their house, they called animal control to get this sweet senior girl help. "We can only imagine how she got into this situation and how long she has been out on her own," Wendy J., with Touch of Grey Rescue, tells Waggle. "She is now in our care. Welcome, Honey Toes. You are safe and loved." Unfortunately, her injuries are severe. "She was cowering in the shade in debris with painful, oozing wounds covered in ants," Wendy says. "Wherever she came from, we are happy she escaped. It appears she has had multiple litters of puppies and was used for breeding." The rescue raced Honey Toes to the animal hospital, where a medical team removed the tape and plastic and gave her immediate care. She may need surgery for her leg. Now the group is trying to raise all the money for her care. "She has quickly become a staff favorite," Wendy says. "We will do all it takes to get Honey Toes on the road to recovery!
