Cappuccino

Cappuccino is a 5 year old Australian Shepherd in Houston, TX, who needs $8,000 for DKA, Pancreatitis, Overnight Stay, and Further Testing.

Houston, TX

One day I drove into a pizza shop parking lot after a storm and saw him standing in front of my car, barking like he knew me. I rolled my window down and he ran to me, paws up, tail wagging. I opened my door and he jumped in. He wasn't microchipped, and his beautiful brown colors reminded me of coffee, so I named him Capuccino. In that moment, I knew he had chosen me-and I could never let him go. Last week Capuccino was diagnosed with diabetes and DKA and was hospitalized for three days. He came home and ate for one day, giving me hope, but then he stopped eating again. Now he needs to be hospitalized for more tests to find out what's wrong. I used all my funds on his first stay and don't have money for the care he needs. My heart is breaking because he is my family and I want to save him. Capuccino is more than my dog, he is my best friend and my family. He has always been there for me, bringing love, comfort, and joy into my life. He is playful, sweet, and the best boy anyone could ask for. He deserves more time with a family than the three short years I've had with him, and I am fighting to give him the chance to keep living the happy life he deserves. I applied for loans/credit and used every resource I had to pay Capuccino's medical bills, but I've now run out of money. I work, but my income isn't enough to cover the urgent care and tests he still needs. Any help or sharing his story truly means the world to us.

Kukki

Kukki is a 6 year old Mix-Breed in Houston, TX, who needs $1,213 for Dental with Extractions of the Back Teeth.

Houston, TX

Kukki was abandoned at the age of 5. I ran across her story while looking to adopt a cat. I’ve only had her for 3 months and she’s my only pet. Her given name is Cookie. I liked it but it wasn’t one I chose for her. Kukki is the Japanese word for cookie. So, her name is still said the same way, only the spelling changed. She is still learning to trust people. However, more time is all we both need I knew nothing of Kukki’s medical background prior to adopting her. I took her to Kirckwood Veterinary Hospital thinking she had allergies. They gave her a look over and found inflammation in her mouth. She was diagnosed with Caudal Stomititis and was given meds. But it only provides a few weeks of relief and the injections given are not ideal for long-term treatment of this serious gum disease. Kukki was not a talker at all until she received temporary relief for her gum disease. It’s almost like she’s a new cat exhibiting more interaction, affection, personality and overall happiness. She loves playing but loves treats even more. It’s just the two of us in the home. So, she lays next to me every chance she gets. She use to randomly bite. But I now believe it was because she was in pain. I am legally blind, on a fixed income and can't afford the dental extraction on my own, even with the vet's discount. I have pet insurance for her. Unfortunately, it does not cover dental. I don’t have the means and need help.

Titan

Titan is a 2-year-old Terrier Mix in Houston, TX, who needs $2,000 for Exploratory Surgery for Bowel Obstruction.

Houston, TX

Titan came into my life from buying him off of a high school friend. I've had him since he was 8 weeks old and now currently 1 year and 7 months. We have 2 dogs in total Titan or pit and Hershey our Chihuahua. I chose Titan name from my favorite anime and I just had a feeling he was gonna be such a moving dog, I named Hershey from my favorite chocolate because of his fur color. Titan sleeps with me in my bed in my arms or snout tucked in my back when I sleep one my side everyday. He's never once slept outside or on the floor. He loves to go to any parks to play, and he loves walks in the neighborhood. He loves to play tag with his toys. He hates water with a passion, but very much loves licking toes and walks on you like hes still 10 lbs. Titans favorite fury friend is my cousin calista dog named Ava. He doesn't very much bark unless he wants someone to play with him and his toys or hes not able to catch you while running around! Hes afraid of anything and everything even when hes bigger than it! He loves o play fetch, run free at the parks and play with his grandma angel. We are currently looking to help cure his heart murmur and help pay for exploratory surgery for a bowel obstruction. It's an emergency the fast we can get him in surgery the faster he can feel better and be able to eat without throwing up and to have an appetite again. I've put in as much financing as I could. This was unexpected, sudden, and used all personal family funds. We no longer have any money to get him the surgery he would need like tomorrow.
