Izzy
Izzy is a 7 year old Mix-Breed in Perry, AR, who needs $781 for Dirofilariasis (Heartworm).
Perry, AR
A coworker rescued Izzy from a household that had too many pets and was neglecting her. Once Izzy found her freedom, come to find out, Izzy didn't like being with the coworkers existing dog. We had just lost our 16-year-old Boxer a couple of months ago and were delighted to rescue Izzy (and my coworker). We had only had Izzy for a couple of weeks and took her in for her checkup and annual shots. Unfortunately, testing found that she has Heart Worms. Hospital: Lake Hamilton Animal Hospital Doctor: Dr Brian Peters Izzy loves all people (not so much other dogs). She is very well behaved and loves to fetch and tug (once procedure is complete). She, like a lot of dogs, is afraid of thunder (4th of July was not a happy time for her). It's just me and my husband, so she is our Fur Baby and gets way too much attention! This huge expense could not have come at much worse of a time...we have to have $2k by Aug 1 and another $2K by Oct 1 for Homeowners Insurance. We had a couple of major expenses earlier this year which ate up all our savings. This is not a procedure that can wait.

Burksy
Burksy is a 11-month-old Goldendoodle in Hot Springs, AR, who needs $2,000 for Save his Leg.
Hot Springs, AR
We got Burksy as a Puppy, my son (8 years old) has debilitating anxiety and we were told that a therapy dog might help him, he picked Burksy and they have been inseparable ever since! He got Burksy at 8 weeks old on his 8th birthday, and so far anytime that his anxiety spikes, Burksy has been right there and helped him through it! Burksy loves to be with his person, 8 year old little boy, he loves to fetch tennis balls and run. He also loves to swim at the lake and play in the water! He is a silly, clumsy puppy, and is so very loved by the whole family! Until he slipped and broke his leg, he has always been an active playful cuddlebug! He is 80 pounds but still acts thinks he is a small lap dog! He will play fetch non-stop for hours at a time, as long as someone will throw a ball, he will play! He loves to run and swim, he is very clumsy, and sometimes swims too far out and has to be "rescued" or pushed back in. He also love to lay in my bed, right in the middle of it, even though he has his own bed in every bedroom in our house. Burksy broke his leg on December 23rd, he has been in a cast since then and unfortunately it is not healing right, we are faced with a decision on an expensive surgery or an amputation. He is not quite a year old and is so active that we are scared the amputation may make him less active and playful! My husband lost his job as a Loan Officer the end of 2022, we have been struggling to pay our house bills much less an expense of this size. It would mean the world to a very concerned little boy and our entire family to have our furbaby back and healed!
