Muffler

Muffler is a 6 month old American Shorthair in Commerce, GA, who needs $300 for Neuter.

Commerce, GA

My nephew was on his way home from work and Muffler fell out from the underneath of a truck. He was singed from the muffler, hence his name. He is 6 months old and started marking his territory. I need to get him fixed but it’s really expensive. (He marked my cushion on my couch.) Ugh. We have a dog named Abby that is almost 11 and he loves to torture her but it’s only because he wants to play. I keep him up too date with his shots but he does need to be fixed which is what I’m needing help with. I use Lake Hartwell Vet because there are 2 Doctors there that I trust with my life. Muffler loves playing with his toys and his cat tower. We’d love to watch him play. He is a loving cat however he is still a little wild but I think it’s because he is young and because he was found outside. He is just a very sweet and special edition of my nephews lives that I’ve finished raising after my sisters death. I live on a fixed income from SSDI. it’s expensive to get a cat neutered. Muffler means a lot especially for my Autistic nephew because he’s been asking for a cat for 10 years. I finally broke down and got him one.

Jax

Jax is a 6-year-old German Shepherd/Husky in Carnesville, GA, who needs $1,100 for Doxycycline and Diroban Heartworm Treatment.

Carnesville, GA

About 5 1/2 years ago, I was looking to adopt a new dog. My husband and I decided that we would look at our local animal shelters for a rescue. That's when we came across Jax. It was love at first sight. When I talked to him he looked like he was smiling back at me. He has been a source of love and comfort ever since. I need him as much as he needed me when he was at the shelter. Jax loves to play fetch with anyone willing to play. If no one has time to play, he just throws his toys up by himself. He loves his family as much as we love him. He loves being outside, especially when his dog house has fresh bedding. He loves to roll around in it and get it settled just right. He also likes to talk back to me and do a little dance when I talk back. To top it off, he is so smart Jax knows when I don't feel good or I'm upset about something. My allergies have been bothering me lately, so when I start coughing he just nudges me with his nose until I stop. We have lost a few close loved ones since I've had Jax. Everytime, he knows what I need. Instead of trying to play, he'll just let me sit and hug him until I let go. At his last vet appointment, I got his shots up to date and had him tested for heartworms. Unfortunately, he tested positive. Our veterinary clinic has come up with a 3 stage plan to treat him, but I cannot afford it right now. I have him on prevention (which I will never miss again!) to slow the progress, but I need help. So far, Jax has not suffered any health deficits. I am not ready to say goodbye to Jax. He's family. I work at a non-profit organization so I do not make a lot of money, but I am trying to save a little at a time. I am scared that I won't be able to save enough in time to keep Jax healthy. I appreciate any help!
