Charlie
Charlie is a 6 year old American Shorthair in Moncks corner, SC, who needs $1,200 for Tail Injury.
Moncks corner, SC
Charlie Barlie came into my life in 2023. I adopted him from my mom's work friend. I took him in and trained him and showed him how to come out of his shyness and he started meowing, and purring. He became such a cuddle bug and started responding to being taught different commands. On March 26th, at 2:50am Charlie Barlie had stuck his tail in a wax warmer and was acting normal until April 10th, when he started hissing, growling and biting his tail. He even started going to the bathroom outside of the litter box. We took him to the vet and they gave him antibiotics and anti inflammatory. We took him back to the vet and they wrapped his tail and gave him gabapentin and a cone. Charlie Barlie is very special because he loves to play and bunny kick at the blankets and sheets. He makes everything better and makes everyone happy. He is my bundle of joy that got me through some tough times in life and now I want to be there for him. Charlie loves to bunt everyone with his chin and he loves to purr and lay around like a little shrimp. It will mean everything to me to have Charlie back to his old self. It will decrease everyone's anxiety and stress. We need to be able to pay his vet bills and potentially get him surgery so he can feel better. His health means everything to me and my family.

Chickadee
Chickadee is a 8-month-old Chorkie in St Stephen , SC, who needs $1,500 for Emergency Sick Visit.
St stephen, SC
Hello, my name is Cheryl and this is Chickadee, my daughter got her for me this past Mother's Day. I NEVER thought I would be so attached to a dog, until this baby here. My husband & I were together for 51 years, but COVID took him in Jan, so I'm sure loneliness plays a huge role in my loving her so much. I cannot remember a time I was "alone" I always had my kids or husband, until I had none. Getting her at 8 weeks, I thought, "at my age, no way am I going to be able to train her." She was so little, still is tiny, I was afraid I would step on her, but no, we made it! She waits by the door, patiently to go out, a little yap every now and then. Being hard to bend over, I thought would be a challenge, not with her, she jumps up on my leg for me to attach her leash. The cutest of all though, she will literally tap me when she wants something. I have to keep treats by my tray or she will yap until given 1, she recognizes my daughter's car, runs to greet her & grandson. If my daughter comes alone she keeps running out barking at the car, she knows someone else should be coming. Yesterday Chickadee woke with me and was acting herself, acting like she didn't feel well. Throughout the day she seemed worse and didn't eat. She vomited and I babied her, thinking maybe she just ate something not going down well. This morning she acted as if her back legs were weak, she had trouble getting down steps. She ate a little bit of baby food, but didn't keep it all down. IDK what to do I am 72 yrs old, was on disability, then retired. When my husband passed, I was lost. Lost spiritually, physically, mentally, & financially. I get one check a month and after bills I just do not have extra$ She has given me some spirit & love back.

Scrappy
Scrappy is a 1-year-old Lab mix in Sumter, SC, who needs $2,000 for urgent leg surgery.
Sumter, SC • Lucky Paws Rescue Inc
When Lucky Paws Rescue got the call that a pup was hit by a car and left on the side of the street, their team raced into action. "We jumped in our car to go get her," Christa C., from the rescue, tells Waggle. "We looked for a Microchip and found nothing. She was so sweet and gentle despite being in terrible pain from two broken legs!" They rushed her to the animal hospital, and the next day Scrappy was in emergency surgery to have pins placed in each leg to save them. She's now doing quite well in her recovery. Now the rescue is racing again to raise the thousands of dollars they need to pay for Scrappy's surgery bill. "This girl is a survivor," Christa says. "Her strength and calm amid chaos is amazing. She has been nothing but lovely during this whole crisis." Will you give to help Scrappy get on the road to recovery and a forever home?
