LadyBird

LadyBird is a 6-year-old Pitbull in Mustang, OK, who needs $1,000 for Diagnosis and Treatment.

mustang, OK

LadyBird joined our family 6 years ago. Only 6 short years ago, but we cant imagine life without her in it. Lady and my Oldest daughter Willow (who was 1 yr old at the time) bonded instantly. They are inseparable. As my family grew, so did Lady's love fo us. The moment we found out I was pregnant, Lady never left my side. When we brought my youngest daughter home, Lady was the best nanny dog Lady always has to sleep with my oldest. If she cant get in her room or on the bed she will throw a fit haha. She loves to play outside with the girls and go for walks around the block. She is also a phenomenal camping buddy Lady has her own voice and isnt afraid to use it. She will let you know what she needs by making different sounds for each need. She is 100% convinced she is a lap dog andgive the BEST cuddles. 2 days ago lady started heavily bleeding from her bottom, not eating, and barley moving. She is shaky and in pain. We are currently trying to find a vet willing to work with us to diagnose and treat her as soon as possible Lady is like one of our children and I will try everything in my power to maker her happy and healthy again. We are a one income house and this was very sudden in between pay checks. We do not qualify for care credit, and can not afford the appointment cost

Capone

Capone is a 6-year-old Cane Corso in OKLAHOMA CITY, OK, who needs $2,000 for TPLO Surgery .

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK

I adopted Capone from the Oklahoma City animal shelter in 2017. My daughter and I went to an adoption fair at the fairgrounds to "just look". Capone came from the back of his cage and nudged the latch with his nose as we approached his cage. We could not leave without the dog that had chosen us to be his family. My household consist of Capone and myself with family close by. Capone and I live alone. I have two daughters, a son, and a grand-daughter who come to visit on an occasion. No one can enter my home and not immediately be filled with laughter and a smile. Capone is full of silly antics as well as "kisses" disguised as giant tongue licks. Unfortunately, he is unable to have company as much lately due to his excitement and the resulting pain.:( I am currently unemployed due to the pandemic. It is constant heartbreak and torture to watch Capone in severe pain daily and not being able to fix his pain when he has breathed life and love into me. I refuse to give up hope that I will not be able to eliminate his pain. 1 1/2 years ago I noticed Capone had a small limp and was having difficulty sitting and rising. I visited several vets and was told "give him supplements" "big dogs have joint issues". After 1 1/2 years Capone has finally been diagnosed with a full torn ACL in his left rear knee and a partial tear in his back right knee. Dr. Jeremy Cramer at Lakeview Animal Hospital will be performing the surgery I adopted Capone after my red-nose pit, Hershi, passed away. This was a very devastating and I was extremely grief stricken. Capone has been here by my side providing love, support, laughter, and joy desperately needed in low and dark points I have experienced/faced in my life. Capone will vocally let you know exactly how he is feeling. It is impossible to not smile when in his presence.

Thomas

Thomas is a 8-year-old Mainecoon in Chickasha, OK, who needs $3,500 for Inner Ear Surgery.

Chickasha, OK

In 2015 My wife and I were out visiting shelters and came across the OKC shelter where we walked in and saw many cats that were in need of homes and while going in and out of the rooms we came across one particular room where we saw a group of cats teaming up on one cat and that was Thomas. We absolutely fell in love with him and wanted him,so we then decided to adopt him. Thomas is a very big cat and loves to play with our other small cat and run and jump around the house. Since he is having bad ear issues his activity has calmed down a bit but loves being around people and he's sweet anytime someone comes over or even if my wife or daughter play with him he loves it a lot. I am currently in between positions and i am the only one working making money at this time and i am asking if someone that can help with the inner ear procedure that is around $4000 because I love my boy and want him healthy. Several months ago, Thomas started to develop ear drainage issues with puss, and blood and I simply didn't think much about it, so i cleaned his ear on a daily basis's for about 2 weeks. After those weeks his ear puffed up so my wife and I then took over to the vet to get his ear drained and shortly after that his ear got worse over time and his ear drum fell out. Thomas is special because, when you are having a bad day and want something beautiful to look at, he is always right there to comfort you. He never leaves your side no matter what is going in the house or even if someone comes over unless you ask him if he wants some food and that excites him a lot.

Matilda

Matilda is a 3-year-old Dogue de Bordeaux in Fort Scott, KS, who needs $3,065 for surgery to fix her CCL tear (like a human ACL tear).

Fort Scott, KS

I drove 8 hours one way to rescue this poor pup when she was 8 weeks old. She was born with a cleft lip, palate and gum. The breeder didn't want her associated with the rest of the litter due to bad publicity for lack of a better term. After I got her home, we went through 5 surgeries to correct the congenital deformities and her palate and gum were corrected - the lip was stubborn and she kept popping the stitches. Since it was just for looks, I decided to stop the surgeries and her nickname is "Snaggletooth". *laughing* She was also born with a corkscrew tail and we had to have it amputated when she was around a year old due to it causing pain when she'd squat to go potty. She's now facing surgery on her nose, as the cleft lip is collapsing the structure of her nostrils and will eventually block her airway - that's scheduled for March 2and. She had a torn CCL and I drove 4 1/2 hours one way and spent all of my savings to have it repaired via TPLO. What I'm needing financial assistance with is another TPLO on the other hand leg. All of these surgeries have pretty much wiped me out and I hate seeing her in pain - it breaks my heart....
