Butterscotch is my 2, 3, 4 o'clock alarm clock whether I like it or not. It was just supposed to be temporary caring for him until my nephew could get their place. Now, he is my companion and comfort in good times and bad. He loves visitors and is super friendly and cuddly 95% of the time. Lakewood Pet Vet was able to squeeze him in immediately, and determined that Butterscotch has a urinary blockage. He had surgery to remove the blockage but he needed a few days for recovery, tests, hospitalization and needed to be transferred to Love Animal and Urgent Care Hospital in HB for overnight care and he ended staying for 3 days. He always greets me when I come. He welcomes visitors at the door. He will lie on his back and wants belly rubs. So, it was very strange not having him greet me when he was at the hospital. He is super smart and will knock at my door or play with this windchime whenever he wants something from me. He is very needy that he has to have me watch him eat. I am my Dad's full time caregiver. He suffers from Parkinson's and Lewy Body dementia and we don't have the funds to cover this insurmountable emergency veterinary bill.
