Buddy is a rescue that my Mom and I adopted from the streets. After months of searching we couldn't find his owner. He was found wandering Long Beach CA but had an unregistered microchip from Missouri. Buddy was needing medical attention. He was diagnosed with severe atopy and we have treated him with the help of a holistic veterinarian. We took him into our family 10/09/2012. In early 2018 he was diagnosed with kidney failure. We started him on additional supplements from the holistic veterinarian for his kidneys. He has a special diet that costs approximately $160 per month plus his veterinarian prescribed herbs at $150 per month. Mom and I afforded the costs together. On November 26, 2018 my Mom passed away unexpectedly and left me with all her rescues. Four. I'm disabled and on social security. Affording Buddy means I haven't been able to put anything away for property tax. I'm eating donated food so Buddy can get what he needs. But I can't do anything else. I have sold family heirlooms trying to keep up with all of this. I have nothing left. I need help. It's hard for me to ask. Mom didn't plan on dying and she didn't plan on leaving me with four rescues. I need help with Buddy's medicine. When we first got him he became a canine candy striper. We took him into senior facilities. He cheered everyone up. Now he needs a little help to keep going. He's doing great on the prescribed medicine and needs to continue. Help.
