De Forest, WI
We picked up Finley from a family about 6 hours away from us to help complete our family! We just never knew how much he would end up changing our lives forever! He is the sweetest boy who loves to cuddle! He may look intimidating, but he is actually the biggest baby who is in touch with his emotions. If he could, he would spend every single day outside with his Frisbee! Finley loves people! He has no problem coming up to you and just sitting in your lap! He enjoys kisses and has the greatest smile! Getting a belly rub has got to be one of his most favorite activities. He is a good boy who loves sleeping in his kennel alone, but if he once he hears thunder, he's making his way into the bathroom. When we got the news about Finley, we were caught by surprise by the severity of his condition. This will be the second major surgery that one of our babies has needed this year. By getting this surgery, Finley will finally be able to play without pain and restrictions. Finley has torn both of this ACL's in both of his knees. Because of his size, the doctor recommended that we get surgery as it would be the best solution for the long term. Also due to the fact of how young he still is, if we didn't do the operation he would have to live a life full of physical restrictions. The procedure will be done at our local veterinary clinic by their orthopedic doctor. Finley loves to sunbathe while laying on the grass with his Frisbee in his mouth. If he had it his way, he would stay outside all day! When he gets excited, he does his little happy dance where he pounces up an down only with his front legs, he tucks his ears back and resembles Dobby from Harry Potter, and gives you the biggest smile.

Guppy
Guppy is a four-year-old Hound mix in Rio, WI, who needs $2,000 for urgent leg surgery.
RIO, WI
Dusty K. fell in love with Guppy the moment she adopted her from an animal rescue. "A group of volunteers from Wisconsin travel to Alabama to rescue dogs from puppy mills, abusive homes, and euthanasia," Dusty tells Waggle. "Guppy was able to have a second chance in life, and I want her to be able to continue her wonderful life." Guppy immediately became a hit in Dusty's family and neighborhood. "Guppy loves to go wherever we go," Dusty says. "She loves to go on car rides and look out the window at nature. She has a best friend, a Golden Retriever, that she visits once a week. You would think they are sisters with the special bond they share. When someone gives Guppy a treat, she always hides it. She's done this ever since we adopted her. She adds so much joy to our lives and can't imagine life without her." But as the years went by, Dusty learned Guppy had not one but two "bad wheels!" Guppy tore her ACL in one leg and had surgery to fix it. Dusty's veterinarian at Lodi Veterinary Care warned her Guppy's other ACL could be prone to tearing --- and soon it did. Now Guppy is limping in pain and needs another surgery to fix it, but Dusty is broke after spending more than $4000 paying for Guppy's first repair. "With 2020 being a year of unexpected financial loss, we are still trying to get back on our feet," Dusty says. "Guppy is the one thing that helps take away the stress of our circumstances. We want to do right by her and heal her, so we don't have to watch her suffer." Please help Guppy not be gimpy and get back on all fours again!

A group of volunteers from Wisconsin travel to Alabama to rescue dogs from puppy mills, abusive homes and euthanasia. They foster them until families are able to adopt them. My sweet Guppy was brought here after her mother was pregnant in a puppy mill in Alabama. She was able to have a 2nd chance in life and I want her to be able to continue her wonderful life. Guppy has been a God send during this pandemic. My elderly parents have been quarantined for months due to the pandemic and struggle with severe depression. Guppy has been their saving grace. She has been a support dog to help them get through this lonely period in their lives. They look forward to waking up to her happy and loving spirit. It keeps them going each day and gives them a reason to live Guppy has made it so far in life after surviving a puppy mill in Alabama. She deserves to continue having a wonderful life. However, we do not have the means necessary and we can't begin to think of the alternative. The surgery will cost $4,200 and we have no way of paying this. Guppy seemed to be experiencing some discomfort in her leg. I was hoping it was from the cold weather, but unfortunately that was not the case. She was diagnosed with a torn acl and told that it was an injury that would require surgery. This has put a great deal of stress on our family. With me being on disability and my parents quarantined, we don't know what to do. We feel helpless! Guppy loves the outdoors. She loves to watch squirrels. She really likes hanging around the kitchen where my mother often cooks. It is like she can sense how my parents are feeling during this pandemic. She stays near them and tries to bring them comfort. I am so glad that she can bring some joy to them as they struggle with their sadness. She is truly a blessing!
