We rescued Sadie two years ago after she was abandoned by her previous owners. She had multiple litters of puppies, was attacked by coyotes, and was left with severe skin wounds and heartworm disease. We committed to giving her a second chance and spent nearly $2,000 on her treatment, rehabilitation, and spay. Today, Sadie is a happy, loving member of our family. After everything Sadie has overcome, she was recently diagnosed with a cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) tear. Our veterinarian at Meeker Hospital recommends TPLO surgery, with a very good prognosis. Without surgery, Sadie will remain in pain and face worsening mobility and arthritis. The estimated cost is $4,000, which we are struggling to afford. We are seeking treatment at Meeker Hospital. Sadie is special because despite everything she endured, she never lost her ability to love and trust people. We have watched her transform from an abandoned, injured, heartworm-positive dog into a happy, affectionate companion. She loves being with our family and has finally experienced the safety and love she always deserved. She has become an irreplaceable part of our family. A recent storm caused about $20,000 in damage to our home, and both vehicles need repairs over $1,000 each. With Sadie’s $4,000 surgery on top of these unexpected costs, we simply can’t manage it alone. Your help could give Sadie a pain-free future.

Ivy has been part of our family for several years and lives indoors with us as a deeply loved family dog. She came into our lives during a time when we needed comfort and stability, and from the beginning she bonded closely with our family, especially the children. Ivy is currently facing a serious medical issue that requires urgent surgical treatment. During a visit to Meeker Animal Hospital, Dr. Chelsea Gee, she was found to have a tumor that needs to be removed as soon as possible so it can be sent out for biopsy testing. At this time, we do not know whether the tumor is cancerous, and surgery is the only way to find out. She is extremely affectionate and always wants to be close to her people, especially the children. If someone is sitting down, she is right there beside them. If the kids are playing, she often lies nearby like she is keeping watch over them. She has a calm, comforting presence that makes our home feel safe and full of love. With the children, Ivy is gentle, patient, and very intuitive. Last year, Ivy’s heartworm diagnosis and treatment in September 2025 was already a major financial strain for our family, and we are still recovering from that expense. Now, with her new tumor diagnosis requiring urgent surgery and biopsy. I can't afford it. I need help.

Lars Fredrickson Chance was born to proud parents Rose and Jack on November 4th, 2021, and gifted to us by a dear friend of our family in January of 2022. He has been such a joy in our lives, and has rescued our daughters from sadness on so many occasions. He also lives with his doggy "brother" Shooter, who teaches him all of his good (and bad) habits, and who Lars looks up to in every way! Lars absolutely loves to go on walks and hikes with our family on our 10 acres, and has proven that the creek is his favorite form of bath time! On a normal day, you can find him snuggled at Mama's feet as she works on the computer, and is quite the shadow! Lars loves waking up his girl for school in the morning by nudging her hand, letting her know another beautiful day is in store. Lars is hysterical! There is never a dull moment with him around. He has a favorite doll, "Minnie Mouse" who talks and tells him how pretty he is! If we've been gone for hours or even just minutes, Lars tells us how much he missed us by wiggling, "talking," and gently grabbing onto either a sleeve of his people, his beloved Minnie, or anything else he can find laying around the house. Lars was most likely hit by a car on Monday, December 4th, as he had accidentally been let out with his buddy Shooter while we were gone. He was taken to Meeker Animal Hospital on Tuesday, Dec 5th, where radiographs were taken, showing that he needs a Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO). Lars can stand on his own but isn't able to lay back down without help. He has been given pain management for now. Lars is a light in our family, and has been such a blessing. Any assistance given to us will not go void. We would appreciate any help you can provide to get Lars healed and back to his goofy self! THANK YOU!!!

Say hello to MoMo. She is a gentle soul who came into our lives from a mother and daughter who were at a local convenience store and she was the last one left that they were giving away. The young girl who was approximately 8 said her and her mom weren't allowed to go home until they were all gone per her father. She said she was 8 weeks, and although we weren't looking, we brought her home. Momo has been a blessing in our home. My daughter left for college who was Momo's primary mom was disappointed she couldn't take her. We agreed to keep her until she came home. She loves cats and other dogs and was easily potty trained. She walks beside you outside and never leaves the yard. She's a quiet dog who just wants to snuggle and be next to you at all times. One thing odd about MoMo is that we never heard her bark! When she's taking a nap, she would rather be snuggled up against my grand daughter who is 9 mo old, or she snuggles UNDER the covers! If you holler for her, a little head will pop out from the covers with the cutest face. She is just a blessing and will make any heart melt with her affection for everyone. She grew into a wonderful 9 lb blessing. Unfortunately this week she jumped off the couch and landed wrong and she broke her elbow which requires surgery immediately. They state there is no other way to fix to give MoMo hope. 3 vets quoted over 4 to 5K for surgery. We found Meeker Veterinarian Hospital in Meeker, OK. Dr. Brown has agreed to 1750 to plate her leg and fix her up. Unfortunately we are short on the funds for surgery. We have 2 children in college and my husband fell off a roof at work and has been off for 9 months. We have spent our reserves on X-rays, office visits, etc. on MoMo and we are at the end. We pray this will help MoMo.

Hi, my name is Shadow, I’m a 4 year old Chihuahua mix. My family rescued me from a local rescue group when I was 6 wks old. I was the last of my brothers and sisters. I was heartbroken and scared until my new family came along. It was love at first site. They say I looked like a little teddy bear. I now have 2 human siblings a boy and a girl who I love dearly and they love me so good. My favorite things to do are taking car rides, cuddling, & playing fetch. I love to explore and protecting my family. My best buds are my two fur brothers & my human boy 10 and girl 6. I recently lost by bestie Bandit, 12 to heart failure. My other bestie Cooper is 15 and a 3 yr diabetic. So it’s hard for him to keep up these days. But my mom tries so hard and takes good care of us. Shadow is so very special to our family. We adopted him shortly after we lost my father in law. He brought our 2 older dogs as well as us a great amount of joy in a hard time. Recently we lost my mother, & 3 months later our chihuahua of 12 years both to heart failure. Even through it all Shadow continues to bring a smile to our face. You can’t help but fall in love with his. Unfortunately, recently Shadow had an accident playing tearing his ACL. Between genetics and the accent. What we thought was a sprain and that time would heal, X-rays show very different. Shadow will require surgery and sooner the better to prevent further damage and loss of use of the leg completely. Our vet wants to do what’s best for shadow these are his recommendations. Life has hit hard. Between the unexpected finances of loss of my mom, having to put down our sweet boy & taking care of a diabetic. I am stretched as far as I can go. I do not want my kids or our family to loose another part of our family because we are heart broken enough.

Vita crawled her injured way up to my house and hid under my porch and decided to let us know that she was there by howling with the current dogs that reside here. She is now living inside with her family and three other pet brother and sisters. She is only around four to six months old. She has made herself at home easily with us and the others. Vita is a loving and playful pup considering her injuries. She likes her alone time as well, but when she is ready for cuddles she will walk up and lay her head against us. She does not interact much with the other dogs in the evenings, but in the mornings she wanders around them with her tail wagging and happy. She does like to talk a small bit by a quick whine and then a tail wag. She is an instant rub my belly type of girl! Her begging eyes comes out when you only give her a gentle pat without a few rubs. She is funny when she wants belly rubs she will walk around and lay back belly up over and over until someone rubs the belly! Vita is a sick little baby, at first we thought maybe she was hit by a car but upon examination from the vet it looks as if she was pelted with a shotgun that shattered her femur. She is looking at either a plate femur to be installed or amputation of her front leg. Meeker Animal Hospital has done a great job so far working with her on the infection from the wounds. I am on a fixed income of disability due to breaking my back and learning to walk again. I believe this young baby will be a great addition to my home and definitely boosts my spirit when she needs her daily cuddles.
