Milky
Milky is a 14 year old Chihuahua in Meriden , CT, who needs $2,000 for Tooth Extraction Surgery.
Meriden, CT
She’s been my best friend since 2011 and has helped me through anxiety. I have a chronic illness, and with frequent appointments, it’s been hard to keep up with her medical care. At 14, she still has so much love and life left. Everyone who knows her sees our bond, and I just want to give her a fighting chance. She has an infected tooth causing an abscess that’s draining through her cheek and needs surgery to remove it. The procedure costs a little over $1,000 at the Animal Hospital in Meriden, Connecticut. I just want to give her a fighting chance and not take away the life and love she still has left to give. She grew up with my kids as their first family pet, and I’m proud to share her with them. She’s spunky, sassy, and full of love—especially at Christmas. She opens gifts with my kids and gets excited when she sees the tree because she knows it’s present time. She can be a little brat, but that’s exactly what we all love about her. Please help me save her. The vet cost is over $1,000. I want to give my best friend the respect and fighting chance she deserves. We’ve been together for so long, and the surgery will help her stay with me a little longer. The vet says it’s possible—please help me save her.

Mystery if ruffly 6 yrs old and weight is 65-70lb and she is a gentle giant who loves her family and other dog sisters and brother. She is loving life and living in a great situation but she currently needs help so she can see the Vet. So hopefully you can be kind and help Mystery. Mystery got into a fight with another of our dogs and one of them bit Mystery really bad on her front left paw. Mystery is struggling to walk and or put pressure on it and we know she needs to go the vet but we don’t have the money. So we are temporarily using Neosporin to help and cleaning it very goodshe truly needs to see the Vet. So I am kindly asking if my friends can help her get to the Vet She is a crazy funny kind loving dog who loves her food and protects the house with ease. She loves playing fetch and trying to steal the tennis ball from Kenzo. She also loves her naps and she loves laying outside in the sun sometimes as well and she loves her walks. We just simply can’t afford to take her to Vet because of financial constraints and struggle and it truly hurts us to see her like this. So if you can please find it in your hearts to help Mystery will be greatful.

Tagz
Tagz is a 9 year old Mix-Breed in Meriden, CT, who needs $1,000 for Oral Surgery.
Meriden, CT
I found Tagz as a kitten in the bushes outside my apartment. He was abandoned by his mother, emaciated with maggots on his back, and covered in fleas. I researched everything I needed to do to care for him - saline for the maggots, dawn dish soap for the fleas, and how to bottle feed him. He pulled through and is a success story now at 9 years old! I took Tagz to a vet at the Meriden Animal Hospital for a loose tooth and found out he has severe degenerated teeth that need to be extracted. He said it’s most likely due to not receiving proper nutrition from his mother the first week of his life. He prepared me for the possibility of needing to remove all of them. He will need surgery, antibiotics, pain meds, and a rabies shot. I called tags my wild child. He strong, and energetic. He loves the fishing pole toy with the bird at the end of it, and jumps remarkably high to get it. We have a special bond. He follows me from room to room and I’m the only one who he snuggles with at night when I watch TV. I stopped working in 2018 after multiple foot surgeries. I haven’t been approved yet for SSI. My only income is child support. Not having the surgery can be fatal. Further infections could spread to other parts of his body. Any help would mean so much to me. Thank you:)

Hailey
Hailey is a 3-year-old German Shepard in Meriden, CT, who needs $2,000 for ACL Tears.
Meriden, CT
My sheppies name is Hailey. She is a young beautiful female. I got her from a rescue, she came from an abusive background. She was also found in the home with a deceased owner who they had determinded was deceased for about a week. She is young but has had a rough start to life. Hailey is a lovebug. She is the sweetest most loyal dog I have ever had. She is my whole world. She is full of life and spunk yet her medical issue keeps her from the things she loves the most and you can see it in her eyes. She loves to walk and to hike. When I got her Xrays done, some of the came to a halt and its been tough on her. She loves her walks. She is not one to really play with toys very much. Walking and hiking are the two things that make her one happy dog. She loves to play with other dogs when her legs allow her. She is full of life and fixing this would give her life back to her and make my happy girl whole again. Hailey had Xrays done at Meriden Animal Hospital. She has 2 torn ACLs in both knees. She came to me from the rescue like this although I was told she checked thru. This was very unexpected but I knew something was not right. She is currently on Carprofen as needed but eventually that will not help. She needs TPLO surgeries. I am looking to start with one. Besides this being unexpected I have a sick parent on dialysis that takes up much of my time. I have missed work days as I´ve spent alot of time at the hospital with him. My dog is my therapy on my tough days with my Dad, please help my girl.

Bandit
Bandit is a 8-year-old German Shepherd/Labrador Retriever in Meriden, CT, who needs $500 for Cystocentesis and Culture.
Meriden, CT
Bandit was rescued from a kill shelter in CT. He was advertised on social media for adoption. When I saw the post, there were hundreds of comments. I was looking for a dog but was having trouble finding the right fit between the thousands of other people seemingly wanting to adopt as well. 3 weeks later he popped up again and was still available. I went to meet him, paid his fee and he came home. Bandit quickly showed us his goofball personality. Between his smart aleck antics, his quick learning and problem solving skills, he was the right dog at the right time. He loves everyone and has filled our home with so much joy. We have a cat he adores and is always trying to make another best friend wherever he goes. He has several amazing qualities! He learned very quickly he was going to be special. He learned several of his service dog tasks quickly and earnestly, he loves to work! He always knows what I need and when, sometimes before I do! He has helped me during my good days and my bad and never fails to bring a smile or a helping paw. 1 month ago after a long shift at work, I came home to a dog that was so lethargic and very unlike himself. He was diagnosed and treated for a simple UTI and in 4 days he was back to himself. 2 weeks later, his symptoms returned. He improved a fair amount but still lacked energy due to pain and showed obvious discomfort during basic activities. My job has decreased hours significantly and has limited them to upper management instead of anyone. My position was terminated due to covid but I was still able to work available hours until this year. An injury prevented me from being eligible for promotion or other work.

Lucky
Lucky is a 8-year-old Lab Mix in Plainville, CT, who needs $1,900 for TPLO.
Plainville, CT
So my pup lucky is a rescue pup we have been together for 8 years. He is a service dog for me. He just had surgery on first leg cost me everything i had. I have no saving and found out he needs his other leg done since has partial tear. I’m struggling to finish paying first leg and don’t want him to suffer. He is such a picky dog we have gone through so much with food that this is last for him Lucky loves to go everywhere with me and explore, he really enjoys working with me as a service dog. He loves to go walking anywhere where there is water and sniffing to be done. He loves everyone and my family dogs. He sleeps with me every night I even got a bed frame that he will be able to go on once healed. So right now we sleep on mattress on floor. He loves to go camping and travel. My boy loves my boyfriends dog, grandmas dogs. He shows he is in pain when he gets excited and wants to greet everyone because after he does bunny hop. He is a talker he cries when he hears us pull into driveway to point where I can hear him outside and in our camera. He is such a loving boy he every morning before we get up will roll over for his belly rubs. He enjoys playing even though older So lucky requires TPLO surgery on other leg. The leg he just had surgery we were originally told it was arthritis so went to meriden animal hospital in meriden CT to see if he qualified for trial and was told his knee was torn. So within 3 weeks it became fully blown. Now I discover his other has partial tear and is gonna cost another 5000 minimum and I maxed out all my credit cards trying to pay So I have no emergency funds left went through them doing blood work as well as radiographs for first leg. I just want lucky to be healthy and be able to move forward for him. I just started new job few months ago my rent just went up so no savings left
