Queen Lost His Brother—Now He's Fighting for His Own Life

Fort Worth, TX • Murdock’s Mission

Queen has already endured more heartbreak than any kitten should. Just weeks after losing his brother to the same devastating illness, this tiny 3-month-old is now fighting for his own life. Despite everything, Queen refuses to give up. He still eats. He still drinks. He still greets each day with the determination only a kitten can have. But beneath that fighting spirit, something is terribly wrong. His little body isn't absorbing the nutrients it needs, causing him to slowly waste away despite everyone's best efforts to help him. Murdock's Mission has already invested more than $700 in emergency veterinary visits, diagnostic testing, medications, and supportive care to give Queen every possible chance. Now, his veterinarians need to dig deeper. Additional testing is the next critical step in determining what is causing Queen's illness—not only to help save his life, but also to provide answers after the heartbreaking loss of his brother. The rescue is committed to doing everything they can for Queen, but the costs continue to grow. Your donation will help cover the medical care Queen has already received and the diagnostic testing still needed to uncover the cause of his illness and guide his treatment. Queen has fought so hard to stay here. With your support, he can continue that fight. Every gift, no matter the size, helps give this brave little kitten the chance to recover and enjoy the healthy, happy life every kitten deserves. If you're unable to donate, sharing Queen's story is another meaningful way to help him find the support he needs. Thank you for believing in Queen.

Copper

Copper is a 2 year old Bloodhound in Arlington, TX, who needs $5,000 for Orthopedic Surgery and Scrotum Surgery.

Arlington, TX

Copper came into our lives when he was about 12 weeks old and has been a cherished member of our family ever since. He isn’t just our dog—he is my 7-year-old daughter Mila’s best friend. Mila is autistic, and Copper has become one of her greatest sources of comfort. During her meltdowns and difficult moments, he stays by her side, helping calm her in a way that no one else can. Their bond is truly Copper was recently hit by a car after he went missing from our home. We searched for hours before finally finding him injured. He was taken to VEG ER where he was examined and diagnosed with serious orthopedic injuries. The veterinarian determined that Copper needs orthopedic surgery to repair his injuries and relieve his pain. He was stabilized, treated for pain, and discharged so we c Copper is one of the most loving, gentle, and loyal dogs you could ever meet. From the moment we brought him home as a 12-week-old puppy, he became part of our family. He has an especially close bond with my 7-year-old daughter, Mila, who is autistic. When she becomes overwhelmed or has a meltdown, Copper instinctively stays close to her, offering comfort and a calming presence. Our family has exhausted our savings on Copper’s emergency care and cannot afford his orthopedic surgery. Your support will give him a chance to heal, return to Mila, our daughter, and come home to the family who loves him so much. ❤️

Arya

Arya is a 1 year old Mix-Breed in Fort Worth, TX, who needs $1,200 for Lifesaving Hyperplasia Treatment and Surgery.

Fort Worth, TX • Spicy Whiskers Cat Rescue

Emergency intake – we need your help! This sweet girl had been sitting in the shelter for a couple of weeks, and she needs help now. She appears to have severe mastitis or mammary hyperplasia and must be incredibly uncomfortable. We couldn’t leave her there knowing she’s in pain. We picked her up and took her straight to Urgent Care so she could be assessed and made as comfortable as possible while we figure out the best treatment plan. Her diagnosis is not great but we know we can help! She has severe mammary hyperplasia, a bleeding ulcer, and severe anemia. We are working hard to get her stabilized and control those issues, so she will be healthy enough to have surgery soon to remove the necrotic mammary tissues/glands. We know this is not going to be cheap, but saying no wasn’t an option. She is so, so sweet and deserves the chance to heal and feel better. If you’re able to help, any donation—big or small—goes directly toward her medical care. Your support is what allows us to step in for cats like her when they have nowhere else to go. 4/22/26 Update: Arya needs emergency surgery to live! This is Arya. And this is what “waiting too long” looks like. She sat in a shelter for weeks —declining, not getting the care she needed, and with no one stepping in for her. Until we did. She’s been fighting every single day since—multiple medications, constant care—and through it all, she has never once fought us. She just… trusts. But now, her condition has become critical. Her mammary glands have ruptured. She also has a bleeding ulcer. This is extremely painful, severe, and life-threatening. She needs immediate surgery to remove necrotic tissue, followed by intensive aftercare. Her recovery will be long and complex. She will require a tie bandage that must be changed every single day for 6–8 weeks, along with frequent rechecks and possibly additional revision surgery. We are not giving up on her. But we cannot do this alone. We need to raise $4,500 for Arya’s care. An incredibly generous donor has offered to match $2,000—if we can meet that match, we’ll have $4,000 toward her treatment. This is the moment where your support can truly change everything for her. The cost is devastating for our small rescue, but in our hearts, we know Arya is worth it. She deserves the chance to heal, to feel safe, and to finally know what it’s like to be loved without pain. Please, if you can donate, share, or help in any way—we need you right now. 5/15/26 Update: Arya update! From sitting sick and suffering in the shelter… to this. 💕 Arya came to us with severely diseased mammary glands, ruptured tissue, infection, and a bleeding ulcer. She was in terrible pain and needed emergency surgery to remove the damaged and necrotic tissue in order to save her life. Her recovery was long and difficult—drains, bandage changes, medications, follow-up visits, and so many moments where we were scared of what would happen next. But through all of it, Arya stayed sweet, trusting, and full of love. And now? She’s playing with toys like a kitten. 🥹 Seeing her finally feel good, comfortable, and happy makes every hard moment worth it. This is why we fight so hard for cats like Arya. She finally gets the life she deserved all along. 🐾

Cotton

Cotton is a 2 year old Snowshoe in Fort Worth, TX, who needs $1,200 for Amputation of degloved tail.

Fort Worth, TX • Spicy Whiskers Cat Rescue

Cotton is a 2-year-old community cat who has been lovingly cared for, neutered, and vaccinated by a dedicated caretaker in his neighborhood. He’s not just another stray—he is known, loved, and looked after. Recently, his caretaker noticed something was seriously wrong with his tail. What appeared at first to be an injury turned out to be far more severe. Cotton’s tail was partially missing, degloved, and had sutures in place—indicating that someone had attempted to amputate his tail and then left him without any follow-up care. By the time he was brought to the vet, the remaining tissue had become necrotic and badly infected. \\\\\_\\\\\_Why He Needs Help\\\\\_\\\\\_ Cotton is now in urgent need of a full tail amputation to remove the dead and infected tissue and to stop the spread of infection. Without this surgery, he will continue to suffer and his condition could become life-threatening. Despite limited resources, his caretaker did everything she could—recognizing the severity of his condition and reaching out for help. She has even contributed financially toward his care, and we are incredibly grateful for her compassion and responsibility. Spicy Whiskers Cat Rescue has stepped in to take over Cotton’s medical care so he can finally get the treatment he desperately needs. \\\\\_\\\\\_Cost of Care\\\\\_\\\\\_ Cotton’s surgery and aftercare are estimated at \\\\\_\\\\\_$1,200\\\\\_\\\\\_. This includes: \\\\ \_Surgical amputation of the tail\_ \_\\\\\_ Treatment of infection \\\\ \_Pain management\_ \_\\\\\_ Post-operative care This is an unexpected emergency on top of several recent critical cases, and our resources are currently stretched thin. \\\\\_\\\\\_How You Can Help\\\\\_\\\\\_ Every donation goes directly toward Cotton’s medical care. No amount is too small—each contribution brings him closer to living a pain-free life. If 50 people donate $25, his surgery will be fully covered. Cotton has already endured unimaginable pain, but with your help, his story can have a much better ending. Thank you for supporting cats like Cotton who have no one else to advocate for them. 8/1/26 Update: Cotton is healing well from surgery! Thanks to your generous donations, Cotton recieved the necessary tail amputation and is healing very well. He is listed for adoption and we're certain we're going to find him the perfect home 😻

MiuMiu

MiuMiu is a 4 month old Mix-Breed in Fort Worth, TX, who needs $800 for Parvo Treatment.

Fort Worth, TX

In June I took in 2 stray pregnant mamas, I absolutely fell in love with MiuMiu, she had a sister that she was bonded with and unfortunately somehow her sister contracted Feline Parvo and passed away yesterday, I am not in a financial position right now to get MiuMiu treatment if she is positive, I’ll be taking her to the vet in the morning and I’m praying she is negative due to being on meds currently. MiuMiu had not yet been tested as she is asymptomatic currently and only had a URI, her sister was diagnosed on Sunday and unfortunately did not survive, I want to give MiuMiu that fighting chance by admitting her to the veterinary hospital for inpatient care, her sister was quoted at a little over $600 for testing and inpatient care that unfortunately I wasn’t able to do. Mid Cities animal urgent I fell in love with her because of how sassy and bossy she is, MiuMiu loves playing with her Brother cousin ( the male cat I’m keeping from the other litter of kittens I took in, so cousin, but brother because they are now my fur children. She loves running through the house chasing him and him chasing her. IT broke my heart that I couldn’t save her sister, but want to do whatever I can 2 save her I am low income on government housing and on SNAP benefits that of course we don’t get this month. It would mean the world to me to have MiuMiu survive this ordeal I love her with my whole being and I don’t know if I can take yet another death of a loved animal.
