I have had Jayden since she was born, and we have now spent 10 wonderful years together. She is a trained service dog who supports me on a daily basis. Jayden saved my life during a domestic assault and was stabbed in the head protecting me from my abuser. She recovered from that incident, but has been developing a lump on her leg for the past couple months. She isn’t herself anymore. Jayden has been developing this lump on her leg for about 4 months now and it’s growing everyday. My DV caseworker secured a free exam at Munford Animal Hospital and the vet said it is likely cancerous and needs to be surgically removed. She has other small lumps but they are mainly concerned about this large one on her leg impacting her quality of life. Jayden is my best friend and my biggest protector. She loves string cheese, strawberry pop tarts and making friends. She is the sweetest girl, even after being stabbed during my attack. I am a domestic violence survivor on a fixed income who doesn’t have the emergency funds to cover this surgery for Jayden. She is everything to me and especially being my service dog, I need to have her in my life.
