Bailey
Bailey is a 6 year old Bullmastiff in Newberg, , who needs $2,000 for TPLO Surgery for a Blown ACL.
Newberg
Bailey is a rescue that we fell in love with 2.5 yrs ago. We answered a plea on FaceBook to find her a home and we jumped at the chance to help this sweet girl. Bailey lives with 3 rescued fur-siblings, a bunny friend and geese, ducks and chickens when she strolls outside to lounge in the sun. She also has 4 human siblings that adore her along with us, her parents. Bailey was underweight, scared, and deemed agressive (she's not). She came from a limited space, high stress situation before we integrated her into our home with acreage for her to run and play. Her body wasn't used to that type of activity so she pulled a few muscles the first year as she gained weight, strength, and confidence. Last month, she tore her actual ACL and needs TPLO surgery. We intended to foster Bailey while we found her the perfect home but she became extremely attached to me within a few days. We all fell in love with her while we worked with her to overcome her fears. Bailey is a sensitive soul and we knew we had to keep her because re-homing her again could be traumatizing. We all have a special bond with Bailey and we're gratful to have her love and loyalty. We knew rescuing/fostering came with financial responsibilities and we're doing everything we can to get Bailey the surgery she needs but this time, we need help.

Elysian
Elysian is a 3 year old Mix-Breed in Corvallis, OR, who needs $2,000 for TPLO.
Corvallis, OR
I rescued Elysian from Safehaven Humane Society. At 17, I moved away from home with him and I provided for him while I was homeless. Now, he is living with me in our apartment and we love to travel and meet new people and pets. Suddenly, Elysian started limping and is in need a an ACL surgical procedure. Tomorrow, I am taking Elysian to Newberg Veterinary Hospital and we have been working with Periwinkle Pet clinic to manage Elysian’s tear. Recently, Elysian seemed to have an allergic reaction to his medication and I am worried about the financial and psychical aspects of what Elysian is going through. Elysian shares space with our other dog and our kitten. Recently, Elysian lost a senior cat that he grew up with and we are all grieving. Before his tear, Elysian played all day long with his brothers and sister. Now, Elysian has restricted time outside and his siblings miss him when he is away from them for long periods of time while I am at work. Elysian’s tear was very unexpected for our whole family. Currently, we are grieving our senior cat that passed in the last week, which added expenses as well. With losing one of our animals unexpectedly and Elysian unexpectedly tearing his ACL, I am at a loss financially.

Bear
Bear is a 7 year old Dutch Shepherd Dog in Portland, OR, who needs $2,000 for Oral Surgery.
Portland, OR
Bear is part of a special litter born to my parents’ dog, Phoenix, seven years ago. Even at just four weeks old, his playful and charismatic personality stood out, and I knew right away that he was meant to be my companion. Since then, Bear has been by my side through thick and thin, sharing life’s journey with me here in Portland. Bear has been diagnosed with Canine Stomatitis (CUPS), a condition causing painful sores on his gums due to an autoimmune reaction to plaque and tartar. Without treatment, it will require the removal of several teeth. However, the veterinarian is confident she can leave enough teeth for Bear to live a happy, normal life. He is being treated at the Newberg Veterinary Hospital. Bear is the definition of a happy dog—his tail never stops wagging, especially when he’s around family and friends. He loves people and always greets visitors with his favorite ball, ready to play. Fiercely loyal, Bear makes sure to protect me from uninvited guests and isn’t shy about showing his jealousy when someone else gets more attention. His joyful spirit brightens every day. I’ve always worked hard to give Bear the life he deserves, juggling gig and full-time work to make ends meet. After losing both my full-time and gig jobs, I’m rebuilding while managing my mental health. Bear’s surgery is out of reach, and seeing him in pain breaks my heart.

Tucker
Tucker is a 11-year-old Beagle/Cocker Spaniel in McMinnville, OR, who needs $488 for Dental Extraction.
McMinnville, OR
I've had Tucker since he was about 4 months old. Someone was giving him up on Craigslist and I fell in love with him right away. He's my little man, 11 years later. I have Luna, who is 2, and she desperately tries to get him to play. He will give in every now and then, but is definitely an old man lol. He's got these long, floppy ears and I love them. Tucker was mellow when he was younger. But when I introduced other dogs into our lives, he became food and toy aggressive. It was quite a problem. Since becoming a senior, he's mellowed out again. He still protects something he really wants, but it's not nearly as bad. He sleeps a lot and loves to cuddle. I love Tucker's face and his ears. He falls asleep and his tongue sticks out. He loves me so fully and the nudging he does for attention, along with the paw on my arm, is so sweet. Because his hearing isn't the best, we've thought him to sit by signing. I love that look of hesitation he gets when I do it Tucker developed a heart murmur about a year or so ago. It went to a grade 4 so quickly, I feel. He's sleeping a lot more. He had days where his stomach is upset and he can't eat. And his teeth have been slowly getting worse over the years. He now has an infection that could be causing more issues with his heart. I found out on Sunday that Tucker will need surgery, but a high risk doctor will have to perform it. The cost is so much more than I expected and I don't have it right now. He needs this surgery, though.

Copper
Copper is an 8-year-old Red Bone/Blue Tick Coonhound in McMinnville, OR, who needs $2,000 for diabetes treatment.
McMinnville, OR
I got Copper as a baby and she has been living with us in my families household since I was in high school. She was my own first dog, I saved up money from my high school job to buy her. I had always dreamed of having my own Red Bone hound dog since I was little. My grandparents had a female Red Bone while I was growing up and I wanted one just like her, so I got her for my high school graduation. Copper has always been a very loved member of our family. She frequently goes camping with us and spends lots of time on walks following her nose and taking naps. My sister had twin girls 3 years ago and Copper has been their protector ever since, those are HER babies! We recently got a puppy after having to put down my sisters dog this winter and they have become best friends! This recent diagnosis has come up unexpectedly. My partner is in school and I am our sole provider making money tight. My family is willing to help the best they can, but with 3 year old twins, our funds are tight. The initial treatment is the hardest par for us financially. Our Copper was recently diagnosed with Diabetes. We took her in a week ago because she was having some issues with bowel movements (she couldn't poop). She spent the night and had that taken care of. The next day we got her back home and she was shaking uncontrollably and drank an entire bowl of water. We took her back to the vet for blood work where they determined she was diabetic. Copper is more than just a dog; she is our best friend and companion, a true member of our family. Ever birthday she howls along, in her hound voice, singing "happy birthday". She has done this since she was a puppy and it is now our families favorite birthday tradition. She also gets so excited for car rides that she will howl the ENTIRE ride!

Itty Bitty
Itty Bitty is a 3-year-old domestic shorthair in Sherwood, OR, who needs $749 for tail amputation surgery.
SHERWOOD, OR
In 2018 I had to put my eldest dog of 12yrs down and shortly after I discovered my second dog of 9yrs was dying of a rare blood disease....all if this while being gravely ill during my pregnancy with my first child. I decided a kitty would be helpful in easing me through the soon to be loss of my second sweet best friend. Then I found out sweet Kit Kat, she helped me through the loss of my closest friends and slept with me regularly on the bathroom floor through the end of my pregnancy. Soon after coming home from the hospital her and my son Rainier became fast friends, he was HER baby. Now I have a second son, Waylon, giving her another baby under 2 to care for and cuddle with.
