Bulger
Bulger is a 7-year-old Pitbull in Ledyard, CT, who needs $2,000 for Mass Removal (4-10 cm).
Ledyard, CT
My wife & I Rescue Bulger and his brother Eli. From Texas. We also have one cat. Bulger is almost all white, He got his name from James ( whitey ) Bulger. Bulger and his brother has been with us for 7 1/2 years. My wife and I was Blessed 26 years ago with twin boys that are high on the Artism spectrum. For some reason Bulger and Eli must know because they protect our twins. Bulger has his own futon that he sleeps on if he's not on my bed. He loves to chase Squirrels but is a bit to slow to catch them then watch the squirrel tease him half way up the tree. Burgers only real friend is his brother. Sometimes they are just like my twin boys they play, they fight, and they will make you laugh at the stupid things they do.his favorite treats are milkbones & bacon strips. No matter if I go to the mailbox or to the store they greet me as if I was gone for years. ❤️ I took Bulger in to get his distemper and his rabies shot and a lump was found on his right shoulder. His veterinarian ( Northeastern Veterinary Care Center, Mystic C.T. 06355 ) Drew samples from the cist and had it tested and the results came back w/ not good news. And now it has to be removed, before this can be done we have to find out if it spread thru out his body with blood work and x-rays I'm 62 years old back in 2008 I had 2 disks replaced in my lower back and fused together. As of 2021 I have been on social security disability. What hurts the most is the thought of having a but my boy down. Because of my injurie. That put me out of work. 😔

Kylie
Kylie is a 7-year-old Mix in Taftville , CT, who needs $600 for Weight Loss /Vomiting and Yearly Checkup.
Taftville, CT
Kylie is my service dog. I've had her since 3 months old. She started her service dog training at 7 months old. She's now 7 years old and I'm not here without her. She's exceptionally smart. She is more trained than she was trained for. What I mean by that is she's learning stuff that she wasn't trained for. She's very loving, very personable to other people and caring At home she has her own personality which is funny cuz she's watching me 24/7 to make sure I'm okay but she does like time to herself. She loves treats. Loves her! Yum! Yums loves to go for walks. Just wants to make sure I'm okay. She deserves more than what I can give her sometimes Everyone that comes in contact with her smiles because she's so friendly. That brings a smile to my face. She's very human-like in the way she cares about others I can't afford a lot of stuff unfortunately. I'm a disabled veteran so I afford what I can healthwise she's good she is due for a checkup and that's where I'm looking for help and I know that she's lost a little bit of weight so I'm worried about that. I had somebody who used to help me with my vet bills for her but he passed away unfortunately and Kyle is very affected by that too I made disabled veterans. Still fighting for my VA benefits. I'm on social security disability. A lot of that takes care of my rent and other small bills. I need Kylie in my life because she helps you if my disabilities. I'm not here without her medically I need to keep her Anything you could do to help would be very greatly appreciated

Benny
Benny is a 3-year-old Sheepadoodle in Pawcatuck, CT, who needs $850 for Addison's Disease Treatment.
Pawcatuck, CT
After a deep depression from suddenly losing my husband of 40 years, I adopted Benny at 5 months old from a woman in the city who didn't have the space or time for him. He now lives alone with me in my house with a large yard for him to run and play in. I named him Benny after our favorite Red Sox player, Andrew Benintendi. He is my best friend and he rescued me in my time of need. It's just Benny and I and he never leaves my side. He thinks he's a lap dog with lots of kisses. He keeps me company all day. Benny also loves to play in the stream in our backyard. He splashes and tries to catch the frogs. I like to sit in my rocking chair and watch him play in curiosity and wonder. It reminds me of the time when I used to watch my 4 kids play in the back yard with my husband. I'm 68 years old and have been out of work for the last 3 years. I don't have life insurance or retirement because everything went to my 4 kids' college educations. I'm now on a fixed income with Medicare and Social Security. I can't loose Benny and he deserves my best. Benny went into Addisonian Crisis: unresponsive, hypoxia, shock, tremors, bleeding ulcers, seizures, loss of vision, lyme disease, catheters, & IV's. He now needs daily pills, monthly injections & monthly lab management. His adrenal glands don't produce the hormones need. Problems are occurring in his organs and bodily systems. Ocean State Veterinary Specialists and Northeastern Vet Care Center are treating him. He is such a happy, compassionate dog. He knows when I'm sad and it's in those moments that really bonded us together. When he went into crisis it mirrored the same symptoms as when my husband died and I thought I was going to lose him. Unfortunately my husband died on the way to the hospital, but Benny kept fighting. It's so special that he never gave up. I am so lucky to have him.
