I adopted Cloud from the SPCA. I watched for weeks on their website and no one seemed to want to adopt him. So I stepped up. I wanted to share my home with the sweetest boy. I work from home as a self-employed data analyst and AI trainer. Cloud is my "office assistant" while I work. Which means he takes a lot of naps and doesn't do any of the work! I share a home with my brother. Cloud is a diabetic cat. But recently he has stopped eating or doesn't eat enough, which means I can't confidently give him his insulin doses without fear of him crashing. He is lethargic and weak and needs unexpected emergency care that I can't currently afford. His vet is Oak Heart at South Saunders in Raleigh, NC. Cloud is a velcro kitty and follows me wherever I go. He will have conversations with you and tell you all about his day. He does his glucose readings and insulin doses like a champ, and is always well-behaved. He's super chill and loves other people, and shows affection that melts my heart. I have been searching for traditional work for over a year. My self-employment work is enough to pay the bills and his diabetes supplies, but doesn't leave a lot of room for savings. I had money set aside for him, but a recent utility bill wiped my savings.

Panda Bear aka PBJ was born 10/28/23 and is a wild little brother to his two canine siblings, Eli and Mia. He loves his mom and his tiny human, Reagan, very much! On 12/16, Panda Bear started showing signs that he may have eaten something he shouldn’t have. Because he does this often we tried to wait it out hoping he could pass it, but things took a turn for the worst. An ultrasound was done on 12/18, revealing that Panda Bear has a blockage in his intestines, & needs surgery immediately. He is currently hospitalized at Oak Heart VH & Surgery in Raleigh. Panda Bear is a sweet, big-headed, goofy boy. He loves lounging on the trampoline in the backyard (see photos) and snuggling with his tiny human. He is always by my side. Currently in bankruptcy from a divorce, having to make a monthly payment of $2717, funds and credit are nonexistent for me. His surgery will cost around $4500.00 with a $600 deposit due day of surgery.
