Harrington

Harrington is a 2.5 year old Great Dane in Tucson, AZ, who needs $2,000 for Abdominal Surgery.

Tucson, AZ

Harrington has been in my life for 7 months now. He was a foster dog through a local rescue and is still adoptable, but he has become so much more than just a temporary foster. He is one of the happiest boys I have ever met, and he is an amazing example of how resilient dogs can be - how HARD they love even after leaving a bad situation. Harrington has just received major abdominal surgery to remove an intestine obstruction at Old Pueblo Veterinary clinic in Tucson Arizona. He is stable, but has a long road to recovery and still has to check a few boxes before he can come home and continue to heal. Harrington is an amazing family dog. He lovesssss children and is great with dogs and cats too! His favorite activities include sunning on the patio, chewing on a bone, chasing a ball, hiking, and most of all - snuggling with his humans. Harrington is the full package and at such a young age, he is so deserving of a second chance at life! Harrington was previously a part of a local rescue that no longer has the funds to help with its animals. I have taken the initiative and decided to make him my personal dog so that I can do everything I can to raise the funds myself and pay for this life saving surgery

Angus

Angus is a 13 year old Mix-Breed in Tucson, AZ, who needs $1,500 for Diagnostic Surgery.

Tucson, AZ

Angus was a gift to my daughter for her 18th birthday from one of her Future Farmers of America (FFA) teachers. While she was in school, Angus spent his days with me, so we bonded. When my daughter turned 19 years old, she moved into her apartment, taking Angus with her. My depression got worse. On March 22, 2024, we took Angus for his annual check-up/vaccines. Dr. Hailey Griffin, D.V.M. of Old Pueblo Veterinary Clinic, noticed a growth in his mouth, The possible tumor grew quickly and is about the size of a walnut. Angus needs diagnostic surgery; Dr. Griffin is concerned about him having cancer. We need $1,500. When Angus first came to us, we had two cats. Lady was 11 years old, and Pandora was 6 months old. In 2014, Lady became very ill and had to be euthanized. Pandora went outside and lost her way home. She eventually found her way home but ran away because she was feral and afraid of the 6-month-old puppy my daughter had gotten me. I never saw her again and the puppy had to be re-homed. My husband and I live on a fixed income and the up-front cost of the surgery is more than we can afford. Though suffering severe pain, Angus is still a loving, cuddly, and happy dog. To have him healthy again means keeping our family complete.

Kenna

Kenna is a 4-month-old Boxer Pitt lab in Tucson, AZ, who needs $2,000 for Abdominal Surgery.

Tucson, AZ

We adopted two free female pups that are sisters from our local animal shelter when they were 8 weeks old. We got them after our one and only dog of 10 years had to be euthanized. These two were from the start really close and stuck together….the reason we couldn’t separate them. We have had them for a few months now and named them Koda and Kenna. They live happy and spoiled with their 4 humans. Our pups really like to sleep on us. They are very affectionate and smart. They were sitting and shaking paws at 9 weeks. They love to run and play in the dirt, especially basking in the sun. They like to do everything together. They walk wonderful on leashes and love car rides. They have healthy appetites and love treats. They are pretty spoiled and have their shotsThese puppies love their humans These dogs constantly make us smile to how they like to cuddle with us and each other to their wrestling and noises they make. They stick to us like glue. Kenna is the more docile one… more mama’s speed and Koda is stubborn and rowdy like my son who claims her as his own. They bring joy and teach us patience. Kenna the tri- colored pup decided she was gonna swallow her squeaky toy. We took her to the vet and got x-rays. She has two squeakers in her stomach. The vet said it is critical to surgically remove these before they cause further damage and death. We are on a time crunch while she is acting normal. We just don’t have that much money right now. We and her sister love her. Please help save her. We are struggling right now as we are maxed out waiting for retirement back pay. We have been able to provide the basics for our pups food, water, shelter, love, shots, licensing, etc. This surgery cost goes way beyond our pockets. I am extremely grateful that there is hope.
