Cash is a beloved indoor cat who lives with me and my children in Asheville, North Carolina. He is a cherished member of our family and has always been a sweet, affectionate companion. Recently, Cash developed a severe ear infection that led to an aural hematoma, a painful blood-filled swelling of the ear. He has already been seen by a veterinarian and is currently being treated with prescription Cash is being treated for a severe ear infection and aural hematoma (ear blood blister). He was prescribed Tresaderm ear drops and Clavacillin antibiotics. The hematoma ruptured and drained but has continued to show swelling, requiring ongoing veterinary care and monitoring. Cash is receiving treatment through Open Door Veterinary Care in Asheville, North Carolina. Cash is a sweet, affectionate cat who loves spending time with his family. He enjoys cuddling, following us around the house, and relaxing near his favorite people. Cash has a gentle personality and brings comfort, companionship, and joy to our home every day. He is a deeply loved member of our family and means the world to us. Due to recent financial hardship and unexpected expenses, I am struggling to afford the veterinary care Cash needs. My sweet baby came into my life in 2021 he was a rescue and was found in a heat bag with 4 other puppies in very hot temperatures. My daughter took one of the puppies and there that day she named him Aryson and he was such a cutie. We took him in and welcomed him home. I love him like I love my two kids! He’s my best friend, my road dog, he’s been serviced and trained very well. My everything! He’s up to date with all his shots he’s been to Dr Allen animal hospital! And we started going to see Dr Willow @ Open Door veterinary, we love her and have stayed there! I took him to see Dr willow and he was having some issues and we discoved that he was positive for Lyme disease and he also had a fever swelling we got a xray and discovered that he had fluid in his lungs with a heart issue! I worked @ Asheville school cleaning and I have a good friend named Layla Lyles and Aryson loves her so much. He’s lovable and great with other animals! He wants to play with everyone and animals! Cats too. He treats my mom special because he senses her condition and wants to help her. He’s amazing he also has two brothers and they belong to my mom. Tank and lil bit! They all love each other so mu I worked at the Asheville school cleaning for 8 years and they lost the contract because of better bidders and my mom has dementia and Alzheimer’s disease and she needs me. I’d give anything to have my best friend healthy again. Please we are always together.

2020 was a real rough year. Our beloved 11 year old dog died from stomach cancer and then COVID. Our house was too quiet and so entered Luna the lovedoodle, an 8 week old sheepadoodle who joined our family right when we needed her. She has been with us ever since. On family roadtrips, exploring swimming holes, waterfalls, and beaches. Hundreds of hours of snuggles and love. Last November Luna escaped our house and was hit by a speeding car. She incurred extensive nerve damage in her right front leg and has loss the use of it and needs an amputation. She will behaving the procedure done in June by Open Door Veterinary Clinic in Asheville, NC. Luna completes our crew. She takes care of the whole family but especially her two puppies, my 10 year old twins Willow and Jett. She always does her perimeter check around the house for bears and loves sitting outside monitoring her flock. She is an important family member and always is there when we need her the most. When Luna got hit by the car in November it was an unexpected $6500. We are still working to pay that off and then the addition of the amputation surgery cost puts another $2500 to that. We just don’t have the ability to pay for all of it and keep up with life.

I adopted Stinky 3 months ago to give him a safe, loving home. He’s quickly become my whole heart—gentle, sweet, and so trusting. Watching him live in pain has been heartbreaking, but I’m committed to giving him the life he deserves. I just need help to make that possible and keep him comfortable. Stinky is a senior obese cat suffering from severe arthritis and significant dental pain due to a previously unsuccessful procedure before adoption. He is in daily discomfort and needs corrective dental surgery and ongoing care. He is currently being treated at Open Door Veterinary Care. Stinky has found comfort with my whole family and quickly bonded with everyone. He’s incredibly gentle and affectionate—he loves to snuggle up next to us all night and is always giving little “kiss kisses.” He’s so accommodating and sweet, and his loving personality has made him such a special part of our home. I’m a full-time college student also working to pay for tuition, and I can’t afford the full cost of Stinky’s surgery. I want to help him without going into overwhelming debt. Getting him healthy would mean everything and give him the comfort he deserves.

Nacho has done this before not even a year ago but we’re looking to have Surgery to remove this foreign body! Nacho is our adventure cat. He begs to go outside on his leash to go to petsmart to see his favorite employee! Revna came to us as a foster, with 4 more siblings at just 7 days old. All very small and very sick. Turns out they all had panleuk. Unfortunately, the 4 siblings didn’t make it. That left Revna the sole survivor. Revna has battle many illnesses in her short life. From multiple very high fevers as a very small kitten..to losing function in her front legs after receiving a vaccine..to having difficulty with using her back legs that is believed to be from the fevers. Now she has been giving the diagnosis of stomatitis at just over 1 year old. Through all of the medical emergencies and close calls, Revna has always be just so happy to be around people. Revna will immediately start making biscuits when she’s happy. She even had a viral TikTok video making biscuits. She is the happiest, outgoing cat despite her special needs. When the city we live in was destroyed by Hurricane Helene, we had to use all of our savings just to have minimal needs met during the power outage and communication loss. This includes the saving for Revna’s teeth removal.

I got Boots as a puppy almost 6 years ago. She was bred and I ended up keeping a pup of hers and her name is Sassy. Boots and Sassy are 2 peas in a pod and love each other unconditionally! Sassy just turned 3 & had her first litter in April this year. We kept her only male pup and named him Ghost. So we have 3 generations of Pitbulls at home. Boots is the queen bee of the house and loves belly rub Boots has had a broken toe nail & swollen toe for over a month. She was seen on 12/17/2024 by a vet who gave her a 2nd round of stronger antibiotics & pain meds. However, she will have to have her toe amputated or even more than that depending on what the vet finds during surgery. It's possible she has cancer and may require more amputation than just her toe. Boots is a “nanny” dog. Protector of her daughter and grandson as well as our family. She is very sweet, living and gentle, even with strangers who she hasn’t met before and they are at our home. When we are gone, she is a fierce protector of her home. I am on disability so my income is limited. My partner lost her job and unemployment has ran out. We are seeking support to get her surgery for the toe amputation and spay while she is under anestesia.

Anubis was abandoned at only a few weeks old we took him in and cared for him and grew to love him and he grew a special bond with my husband hes his little shadow and loves to snuggle and play. He cry's for us when he is separated from us and wants nothing more then to be held and loved and we want nothing more then to love him forever. a couple weeks ago my cousin needed a place to stay with her 2 small boys they played with the kitten with a toy they should not have played with him with causing him to eat it and it getting stuck inside his gut. we took him to the vet and xrays confirmed this fact. because he is so small he needs a surgery to repair this problem. we are hoping to have the surgery whereever we can afford to. Anubis is loving and cuddly like i said before my husband has grown a strong bond with him and me being disabled i love having him around to play with and watch tv with and to snuggle when im not feeling the best he brings a smile to everyones face with his goofy personality and playful nature. he has bonded with my other animals as well him and his brother are almost inseprable it would mean the world to me for some help in affording his medical bills for the surgery he only has so long to live with the problem he has and we didnt have enough time to insure him before this all happened i ask please for help saving him

Shadow came into our lives after his previous owner abandoned him. I fell in love with him the moment I met him. I took him to the vet to make sure he was healthy and got him up to date on all his vaccines. He was a very healthy boy until December when his sister died. Shortly after he collapsed and we rushed him to the emergency vet. We found out that he had a heart murmur a week later It's just me and my fianceé taking care of him. He greets us at the door when we come home every day from work. He loves to curl up with us in bed and sleeps right by our side. Before his sister died from a congenital heart problem he looked after her and loved having a playmate. He groomed her and loved her unconditionally. He took her death extremely hard even though she wasn't in our lives long Shadow loves to sleep like a human, it always makes me laugh because he thinks he's not a cat. He loves to perch on our dresser at night and we call him Bat Man. He loves to sit in the sink and meow until we turn the faucet on. Shadow has an obsession with drinking from the faucet even though he has a perfectly good water fountain. He's very spoiled and loved unconditionally. I work at Open Door Veterinary Care in Asheville and they've cared for Shadow like he's family. Dr Foster has been helping us learn to take his blood pressure at home so we can monitor his heart function consistently until we can save enough money to take him to the cardiologist at Upstate Greenville. My office has gone above and beyond to help him stay healthy and happy We were told that Shadow needs an echocardiogram within the next few months and we just can't afford to spend the $800 and drive to Greenville right now. He's our baby boy and after losing our kitten due to unexpected heart failure we want to do everything we can to help him

Alice was a rescue with a foster mother when I first met her. She has been living in the back seat of a car with multiple dogs when her owner was arrested for DWI. He gave up dogs to police to avoid neglect and abuse charges She was taken to the County's 3 day kill shelter. She was rescued from there by a foster mother from ARF. She weighed 4lbs. when adopted. She weighs 12,13 years later. I had 2 other dogs when I adopted her. She was in a very combative place with dogs and people at first Over time she had learned to like people again and finally to make friends with non-aggressive dogs. She very loving, She is the only one left now and will be my last dog as I am 70 and not the best of health. Would like to keep her as long as I can. She is in good health other than her teeth She likes to dance when you brush her tail and will run around like a puppy as she used to. She throws her nose up to make a reverse head nod to ask for treats and petting. She also sleeps a lot these days as she does not feel so good and takes gabapentin for her tooth pain My vet has assured me that surgically removing her bad teeth will allow her to live into her 20's. I want her to have that chance. She has lost almost a pound in the last month due to not eating well. I have been hunting for healthy soft foods and treats I go to Open Door Vet clinic in Asheville which is an effort to help people afford vet care for their pets. I see the the staff vet present. I am a retired teacher with a pension and Social security who has had 1 COLA in the past 8 years. I have seen my income shrink as inflation has risen and work constantly to tighten my belt for ends meeting.
