Boston was rescued last minute from a high kill shelter in Memphis by Paws New England at only 6 months old. He had been a street dog who fought various, treatable conditions. We were looking for our first dog and came across him. We immediately fell in love and to top it all off, he was already named Boston, the name we were going to name any dog. 2 months later, he came home to us. Boston rescued us more than we rescued him. He loves his feathered siblings as well, even when they peck at him. Every now and again I find him cuddled up with one of the chickens, that's when he is not cuddling or laying on one of his humans. He loves his Grand so much to the point we can't say the word "Grand" in the house or we will see him at the window looking for her or with leash in mouth. He is a rambunctious, loveable, funny pup has made many hearts full after meeting him, even if it was just 1 time. Always trying to play whenever he can and tries to protect all of us from anything that he thinks is threatening, even a fallen leaf. Always smiling, talking, and just making us all laugh. He also knows how to comfort when we are down and out, even if we don't know we are sad at. He has developed a Round Cell Tumor between 2 toes that has has to be surgical removed to prevent further tumors from developing. At this time, they feel to be Benign tumors, but need to run tests on the tissue itself to be 100% sure as well as xrays to confirm it didn't spread. This will require Digit Amputation (loss of a toe). With the loss of my job in February, insurance lapsed causing this condition to be pre-existing to the new insurance. So his new insurance will not cover any treatment. My new job is a 1/3 pay cut, with savings drained during the 4 months unemployed.
